Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Be mentally prepared to be let go in end of September

Seems like we have maybe 2 to 3 months to start applying and have another offer to jump to.

@zbu, that post got downvoted because every single one of us knows that "no layoffs this year" is a BS story. We even had layoffs in years in which things were going great, so that statement doesn't stand.

How do you know this site is mostly full of trolls and sh!t stirrers? Post something that those of us who work at Ford actually heard from management, but it goes against their message, and see it down voted.

Disgruntled LL4 confirmed more cuts are coming. And no where is safe including the ones hit last week.

After making it through last year I decided on a 2 year plan (downsizing my stuff, bought a fixer upper up north and eventually moving there). I'd better step it up.

@dlc - it's also about getting rid of the pensioners.

@ylg

These cuts are not about a downturn in the economy, this is about moving the salaried work force to Mexico.

Not a fan of current management, but I doubt there will be another round this year or at least not in the areas affected by this last round.
