Almost everything in OR is going away. Branches and a few operations people will be about it.
@zhv+1vUvh1Sc Oregon. I hear Risk thanks @tih+1vUvh1Sc is exiting some areas too, but Oregon is my interest.
Which state?
risk sent out an updated email last week of plans for the next couple years. Not sure if other groups did the same. it provided an updated list of the stages and market areas they are pulling out of. Personally I've never been a fan of the pull out method but it is what it is.
Is wells leaving DE?
OP,
Why do you want to know?
Save as much $ as you possibly can, update your resume and start looking. If you only have a few years of service there's no reason to stay for a severance. If you do have 10+ years, do what you can to get your severance. Just my opinion. I'm not leaving without mine.
I'm in production and I know exactly how much work I need to make " meets". They get no more out of me and I'm sitting waiting on my package.
2nd layoff from WF.
Known about layoffs since June 2024 with an expected layoff date of December 2024, then was pushed back to April 2025. Management should have given employees the option if they want to leave sooner so we can collect our severance and be able to move on with our lives rather than having us kick the can down the road. It honestly feels like they are giving so much advance notice so that we find jobs elsewhere and will end up not being able to collect severance on our last day. I mean, who is going to be able to allow their new employer to hold out for that long just so we can qualify for severance?
It isn’t any different for me. I already knew it was coming. Locations strategy is one part of it and outsourcing is the other. Either way, unless you have some critical skills or you’re at the director level and above, I wouldn’t get too comfy. I continue you my job search don’t intend to stay for the package. I haven’t been here long enough.
