Did anyone even drive around PDC? It's so torn down I could barely drive my sedan there without scratching the chassis. What is going on?

If we had 100% of all employees vaccinated, we could get back to work and be safe. Why can't you get that?

Haven’t been told when or if I start mine but operating at the workplace under the assumption it will happen and I won’t be coming back.

Funny that I can walk a few hundred feet down the hall to the trades den and they don’t have a care in the world.

The woke equity only goes so far.

"It is only a low risk if you are vaccinated " Nonsense. There are many groups that are already at low risk - especially a young, healthy person who already had a mild infection. That low risk is known. As for the risk of the vaccines, especially long term risk of a series of shots in young people - that risk is not known, but some cardio issues have been identified. Why mandate they take that risk?

They also claim some people could be asymptomatic. Now they claim everyone who is vaccinated has been saved from certain death.

I know Biden, Fauci, and the media used to claim the shots stopped transmission. They don't anymore. Now the standard line when a triple vaxxed person like Sen. Warren is infected is "at least it is mild, since I am vaxxed and boosted." Why is Ford mandating a treatment to lessen what is already an insignificant risk for many of their employees? Is management bad at math?

What data shows hourly employees aren’t as likely to get or transmit covid as compared to salaried employees ?

At least you admit it’s about numbers and not health

To the poster who says it is about an ability to analyze data, tell us what data supports a fit 25 year old who already had a minor bout with Covid being mandated to get these vaccines. Your data analytic skills must have been put to use signing off one of recent recall plagued programs.

You all need to realize that this “vax mandate” isn’t about the vax itself. It’s about being able to look at data, think logically, and discern information. These are all skills required to be a successful employee at Ford. Sorry to tell you anti vaxers, this but it’s true.

@2snf+1eBGbajz that is all a lot of conjecture. Any basis in fact for your "prediction"/numbers?

Vaxx rate for Michigan is 60% doubt Ford is at 85%.

If Ford were going to back down, they would have announced a 'pause' like Boeing, et al. Other than the excluded groups like FMCC, anyone who has not take steps towards vaccination or a religious/medical exemption has until COB today or should expect the unpaid leave. Ford initially said 84% were fully vaccinated, I don't expect to see 16% let go. Of the 16%, some are surely part of FMCC, Parts Depots, and plants so they are excluded. Some may have already applied for retirement or been actively seeking another job. Others would have chosen to save their jobs by reluctantly getting the vaccine or swallowing their privacy concerns and disclosing their vaccinated status. I am also guessing many, many applied for exemptions. I suspect less than 1,000 will get put on unpaid leave, which Ford can absorb, even if they come from hot areas like EV and AV.

Not a troll. Other posters are right. It does say "may result". Also says, effective end of March, you must be fully vaccinated in order to enter any company facility unless you have an approved exception.

Agree with below.
People will be let go, with or without vax.
They really would like the Federal Mandate to be a law. W/O-vax-layoff will be better for Ford legally, as they could wash there hands with "Federal" reasons.

A team mate filled out an accommodation request - sent it in by the 11/17 deadline.

Was supposed to hear back about it by 12/8. Got an email the last work week of the year saying they did not have to anything else, even if they had not heard back from the company by 1/18/22, which was supposed to have been the date for the Fed mandate to be vaxed

Don’t have any proof, but seems logical to infer either they got way too many accommodation requests that (especially in certain areas) it would really sc--w the company, or waiting to see what happens with all the legal challenges - I would put my money on the first item, too many accommodation requests they don’t know what to do.

More likely scenario - yes, people will be let go, but due to layoffs in certain areas of vaxed and unvaxed alike, not due to any mandate.

The agency resources are going to be the problem here that will potentially upend the mandate. It has been dicey how much Ford can tell contract companies what their employees must do. If they can't tell contractors that they have to report vax status then it will be legally problematic to enforce for Blue badge employees.

And lest you think I'm just som anti vaxxer I just got my booster.

Nice mild trolling to ask this, but as was already said may is not the same as will. I wouldn't expect to see any unpaid leave being doled out until Jan 18th, if at all. My expectation is that this can will be kicked down the road once more before being fully shot down.

Gotta appreciate the Negative Nellies in their diligence to continue to spread FUD.

As of Friday I hadn't yet received any notices of any additional pending actions (beyond the 50% multiplier on the 2021 "merit") for refusing to declare if I've had the shots or not. I would guess that they're assuming everyone in that boat hasn't, but I promise you that there are both those who have and haven't had the shots who refuse to declare.

Over the last week a lot there seems to be a lot of change in the dynamics & tone coming out of the WH, CDC, & NIH. It'll be an interesting month for sure.

It is happening, starting with states that do not have a law against it. I've already been given direction for collecting equipment.

Agree with @zkp.
I was in consulting before I made THE most idio--c move of my life to Ford. In consulting we call it a "save your a*s" word- and that is - DRAFT.
I see "MAY" is that save your a*s word for Ford.
Ford is not used to backing down, but this time IT WILL HAVE TO.

No. There have not been any notifications sent out yet. And, in the fine print, it says MAY be getting a 30 day unpaid leave.

MAY is the key word. You vax police are gonna have to face the fact the likely nobody will be put on leave. It is an empty threat bluff. See ya in the office in March.
