Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

The RTO saga continues

So much for “flexibility “. We were told corporate policy is being changed by the end of the year to make 5 days at the office mandatory. Managers aren’t being given any latitude as usual, as it’s coming from the top. Want a position with job security? Apply for a badge swipe watcher or a Sapience watcher.

So policy, for that employee, is five days a week. That employee was told hybrid, but that employee is now required five days a week. Do you see how that seems unfair, to that employee? Or has working HR made you do devoid of empathy that you are no longer capable of seeing things from other people's perspective?

@zlh+1jqNAYs8 is absolutely correct, you can downvote them all you want but hybrid with the expectation you are in office the majority of the time is company policy. Exception is those who work permanently from a home office - remote population has been significantly reduced but not completely.

The 60/40 policy was confirmed by leadership during the Brookfield town hall meeting about the HQ move last week and they said that policy won’t change. So we can put this rumor to bed.

If your manager is telling you to come in every day then that’s their own preference, and that’s rough, but it is not official policy.

As an analyst hired like 4 months ago the last month and a half has already been mandatory 5 days a week in office for me even though I was told I'd be 3/2 hybrid when I was hired. It took this company less than 3 months to break their word to me and I'm not going to forget it.

WFH is dead only 14 percent of postings are now remote. If you worked in an office on March 1 2020 its time leave it behind like COVID. Work with your managers on WFH on sick days or when its necessary (family personal issues). Not to excuse Fiserv if the office was closed and you where RIF'ed or told to move or else as I was dismissed for that very reason I get it. Our entire platform was WFH for the last 10+ years. Yes Frank hates WFH see First Data's blog here, starting fall 2020 the plan is to break Fiserv's culture including our client focus. Folks its over Fiserv is dead.

True when senior leadership is telling that to employees in advance so they can plan around it. Some leaders have integrity unlike FB and his henchmen

Only good thing about RTO is the strict 9-5. Before RTO many of us logged in early and stayed on later due to WFH so we can complete deliverables…..Now 9am - 5pm ONLY

Not true company policy is the majority. There is no discussion to change.
