What is the point of changing the company logo color from red to black?

Well, combine that with Hurd news and you'll get the point...
The logo color change was the first step in the new brand design - see the new look on Oracle.com today or at OpenWorld next week.
Well it is, just not the way O would like people to interpret it
That brill red was Larry's logo color. As with great stage actors, you couldn't take your eyes off him when he was on. New era dawning, black and white. End of era.
One way to keep the company in the black
Oracle.com also hacked then. Also black/white logo.
@10nivB4o-2oqn So, Oracle LinkedIn account is hacked then? Or what?

Used to be red couple of days ago...
LE has changed to gray and white.
What black logo? Was it any of these? https://www.oracle.com/webfolder/s/brand/identity/logo/index.html
Nothing changed, red is still the primary logo color. 1jtr was right, there was no other news that day, so the FUD spreaders focused on this.
Cost reduction, can now use black and white printer for collateral.
But it’s so symbolic and so perfect given oracle forthcoming demise
News must be really slow if the naysayers are focusing on a logo color change.
I remember, as a DEC employee in Rdb, how Bob Palmer changed the DEC company logo color from blue to maroon.
That worked out really well...
I see a Red door and I want it painted Black.

Shocking level of self-awareness by the 3 stooges of how doomed oracle is. Give grandpa’s advanced age he would of course be thinking about funeral arrangements and black is more fitting than red. Good move
Traditionally the color red usually signifies an error or danger. Black is associated with death.
Apt color choices in my opinion.
The color of death - getting ready for the funeral mass for oracle - PERFECT!
Probably the same reason Digital went from blue to maroon and changed the dots over the I's from square to circles..
Why? Black is the color of mourning. Makes perfect sense to me.
Black is new red?
