@1lxn (Or anyone who Knows), is the speculation of these NJ stores that I have seen mentioned on a few threads, based on any proof, or is it an Educated guess based on the jobs listed on the jobs website? Just trying to find out, to be sure. Thanks.....

Somebody bought up WESTWOOD, and I posted this elsewhere, but what the heck, I thought I'd do it here too: Interesting titbit about WESTWOOD NJ Kmart. It's in Bergen County which is the only county in the country where stores cannot open SUNDAYS. There were 5 Kmarts in that county (Closter, WESTWOOD, Lodi, Paramus, ELMWOOD PARK) and they are all closed now except WESTWOOD. So that's the last remaining (for now) Kmart that can only open 6 Days per Week. The last Sears affected by this rule is the one in Hackensack NJ (also in Bergen county).
Moot point as will probably soon be closing, but just an interesting, yet meaningless fact LOL.
@1lxn Do you have any link for those 3? The locations themselves don't surprise me, but it's just that I have searched online and seen nothing about those closing.
New Brunswick was a closing store in the past so probably now it will close.
Heard Eddie is trying to sell SHO but no one wants to buy. Haven’t heard anything about SL buyers BUT the last person that had anything at all to do with training is gone—she was in charge of compliance (and when I say “in charge” I mean had no choice but to to oversee because there was no one else left to do so). So if there is no one to ensure compliance training is updated and loaded, most of which is required by law, you should know that come Q1 of 2020, all FLS will be gone.
You never hear anything except here. This has been a very reliable board and why stay open after the holidays. Like the mafia does it,they send your friends and with smiles and always at your weakest time.
Softlines buyers are gone. Hardlines has six buyers... four of these peeps are dedicated to servicing Hometown Stores and Appliance Showrooms.
This is for the whole company, not just one banner or the other.
I heard from friends at Hoffman its all ending soon. They said October 1 and it sounds legitimate as we have little traffic, good morale or inventory. Sorry but i think its over and then all thats left is the franchise folks. Makes sense this way as it's less media attention and it can fold up easy.
Are you sure those three stores are closing? I have not heard anyone talk about those locations until now
Jersey City, Livingston Sears, and Kmart in Westwood.
