All relevant corporate info comes here first, usually way before it’s even shared to your direct managers and way sooner it brakes into newspapers. Was like that with the bankruptcy filings, was like that a month ago with the store closure lists. I’m following this site for about a year, but I imagine it was like that with all the previous layoffs.
So, I wouldn’t underestimate the power of this site, can be very informative, just need to learn how to read it.
Yeah, it is a rumor site, so just like with other rumors need to take things written here with a grain of salt. But if you hang around long enough, you find it’s really easy to navigate trough posts. People downvote empty statements and they get buried pretty soon. Troll posts are usually pretty obvious, can just skip it until mods nuke them.
Those rumors that are followed up by high number of replies and upvotes are the ones you need to pay attention to. And by reading those posts you’ll realize that if you were looking for the news about the store closures and layoffs you couldn’t have gotten to a better place.

It is coming whether we like it or not. Can see it, feel it and even smell it. So sad to prolong any longer.
They would be stupid if they DON'T do a mega closing because it is just embarrassing at this point to keep the company going any longer...hell it has been for the past five years!
Goes to show there are too many id–tic stories on this site. Nobody knows what is happening. Tell true facts or keep it to yourself. Go back under your rock.
Ya I kind of thought that mega closing thing was clickbait anyway. I am skeptical of such things until I see proof.
