Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Genuine Hate

I consider myself a kind, caring, hardworking parent with 30 years plus years of work behind me. I can honestly say that I have never worked for a company that I so genuinely hate as this one. I am just waiting for redundancy. Is this feeling common with Xerox workers? I am UK based.

Not to mention the effects on one's well being.

You should really start looking for another job if you’re carrying around such a dark tone in the workplace.

Agree with @1ruo
The US impact has been even greater because we have less labor protection laws and they changed the policy to where we get only two weeks medical coverage. It wouldn’t surprise me if more is to come in the UK due to requirements to submit plans to government agencies prior to doing the dastardly dead’s.
I agree that the only way to move forward is to try love versus hate.
Here are two quotes from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Hate begets hate; violence begets violence; toughness begets a greater toughness. We must meet the forces of hate with the power of love. (1958)

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies violence, and toughness multiplies toughness in a descending spiral of destruction ... The chain reaction of evil - hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars - must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation. (1963)

At least you guys have universal healthcare. In the US we only get 2-16 weeks severance (2 for sales, 8 for general associates, 12 for managers and 16 for more highly technical workers) but we only get 2 weeks medical coverage. In the US. It is not worth staying in the US in your job until it ends. Xerox was so great for so many years. It's just a shame what Deason, Icahn and JV have done for their own unrelenting greed. May God have mercy on their souls for the thousands - possibly millions - of lives they've destroyed so they could buy another yacht. Try love instead of hate and just start looking for something else.

Just found this site?

Not read any of the previous posts?

This is just yet another “useful” post about how someone hates their job. I think we have seen enough of those now to understand the general morale of employees left behind.

Why continue living with hate? Find a new position and move on. You'll feel better, and your kids will probably even notice too.
