@1ohx - If you're referring to a second income as a luxury in the sense that it's like an inheritance or trust fund, that would be totally accurate. But if it's a second income that comes as a result of putting a lot of work and effort into creating opportunity for yourself, that's not a luxury at all. That's just you investing in yourself in order to have a shot at a better life. Relying on a corporation to do that for you is a dead end. We don't live in that world anymore. The days of getting a job with a company and staying there till retirement are long gone. There may be a small number of people who will be able to do that but that's a very small number. I'm 52 years old and I wasted most of my working years toiling as an otherwise nameless, faceless employee of a large company (Best Western, Motorola, and now Walmart). I didn't complete college and I was always too chickensh1t to start my own business. It wasn't until after I'd been laid off, outsourced, and downsized, that I realized that my time with Sam's is most certainly going to end in much the same fashion; and I'd better f***ing do something now, or I'll be bagging groceries at Publix or delivering pizzas. No one wants to hire a 50+ year old man with no marketable skills. So my wife and I started a small business with the hope and the goal of freeing ourselves from working for a corporation that is only going to kick you to the curb in the end. If I'd been smart, I would have done it much sooner. The point is, no one is going to take care of you better than you. Not the government, not any corporation, and probably not any other human being either. Real, true luxury is that which you've made for yourself through your own hard work. It isn't money and it isn't material possessions. Real luxury is freedom and you're the only one who can reward yourself with it.

If they do I’m getting a new job. Not mad if anyone gets a raise but this place is stressing me a lot and if I don’t like my new job I could always come back to about what I’m making now😁. Today’s trucks. 2dc coke Pepsi 7up MM paper and water. What fun.

Quitting a job is always easier said than done! Some of us don’t have the luxury of another income in our household to fall back on! I’m staying until they turn out the lights! Then I will collect unemployment and move on. Just sayin

The best advice I can give you is to start putting that energy into yourself rather than give it to this company at a discount. There is no future at Sam's Club. Obviously there are a few exceptions. But realistically, anyone willing to give away the prime years of their life to a large corporation in the world we live in today, is taking a big risk. The best thing you can do for yourself, is to invest in yourself, and then go to work for yourself. Don't p1ss away any more time than you have to with a brutal company like Walmart. Even if you were to get that raise to 15 per hour, it will do very little to make you any happier. This is a sinking ship and all the rats are going to go down with it.

Sounds like you have it figured out.

All you have to do is pucker up.

Best of luck.

I didn't ask for any smart@@@ answers. It was a question. And where we live u don't just quit and get a different job. I have tried to apply for other positions and they will do there little interviews knowing all along they already hired someone for it. Thanks to the one person who was mature enough just to give a simple answer. My guess the ones with the smart answers are the ones jobs I do while they get paid way more
