Thread regarding Sears layoffs

UnEZ-Order

It's clear at this point that every non-Kenmore vendor has given up on Sears, and nothing is ordered unless prepaid. Nothing is in inventory, and everything has delivery dates of roughly forever and a day (to be cancelled the day before when discovered not in stock). There is no money and no credit to run any semblance of a retail operation. Why isn't Eddie personally providing the means for members to get their appliances in a reasonable time window? He's certain to get that money back if he'd intend Sears to continue as an operation that sells goods at a profit. Either he can't lend the money or he won't. Either way, Sears has no money, and it's driving members away forever, one horrible post-sale experience at a time.

Sadly, now that the Whirlpools and Samsungs of the world are starting to provide factory direct delivery and repair services to retail customers in no small part thanks to Eddie's c-aptastic disintegration of Sears and the way he screwed customers and vendors alike, this is actually faster than Sears having inventory itself. It also means that going forward, Innovel/A&E and friends no longer have any reason to exist.

If I was a vendor I would demand prepaid from Eddie. No money, no ship.

In reply..... forgot this point.

5) So many parts on backorder by the manufacturers for the appliance repair techs, and our 'members' because they know Eddie won't be paying up.

It's crunch time, and it's over folks. S— it up as long as you can.

In reply....

1) A&E / Sears techs HATE selling warranties.
2) Most A&E techs DO NOT work overtime. They hate that as well. They are overbooked everyday.
3) There aren't many tech's left. Most of the good ones left over the last few years. The ones that
are still around hate their jobs, driving around in their beat up vans everyday on routes designed by a mickey mouse routing system, and told by the inept TM's that they MUST SELL WARRANTIES!
4) Third party techs are used because there are not enough of our techs left anymore.

Any questions?

I just got word this evening the trip is going to be looked at as far as making it smaller and easier for them to finance. We just ordered all new service vans for our district. The guys are putting miles on like crazy selling all those warranties. Can't keep up with all the overtime. A&E needs to hire some third party techs to keep up with the crazy workload so I can keep a selling away. See you on the trip.... Oh wait nope I probably won't if your in retail. Never too late to start selling folks!!

All valid points of our eminent demise.
I hope Farhan the A&E technician doesn't see this. He thinks A&E is going to live happily ever after.
Poor guy lost his all expense paid trip.
