SO when exactly are kingston & Walnutport, to be announced? If I call both stores, they seem to be unaware of any such impending closing. So what exactly are you referring to, OP?

My guess that they are selling Kenmore under the table and once that's done sears will close. Diehard was sold without any notice before announcing it was sold. So I think once a buyer comes out, it's all over. We have nothing in lawn in garden to sell. Tools is like nothing except a few sets. The end is coming.

@wlf

Kenmore is worth probably double diehard.

@wlf Ya they wrote something "big" was happening Tues.. Nothing "big" happened. They closed 3 measly stores. Heck, whenever Eddie sneezes, 2-3 stores close by default. That's not "something big". The November list, the September list, those were "big". Show me a list of 50+ stores closing, then maybe you have something "big". This was like your Star home run hitter coming in the 9th inning as a pinch hitter with the bases loaded, and he hits into a double play, and a run scores by default. Not exactly something spectacular, when you were expecting a huge home run or extra-base hit. Or expecting a huge steak and getting a tiny White Castle slider LOL (not that there's anything wrong with those, but just SAYIN', LOL).

And your last sentence was wrong. If someone announces the company closing accurately (AND PROVIDES A LINK I CAN VERIFY), I would not call that invalid. I have announced closings on this site, but I never do it without a link of some kind.
If there is a genuine closing, there will always be a link buried somewhere in some corner of the internet. There have literally been zero exceptions to this rule. All I ask, is that if someone wants to make claims like this, do it when you have a link. Nothing is a worse feeling than being teased or strung along, and then ending up empty-handed.
Also, just to reiterate, do I understand you correctly? Are you guaranteeing that Kingston and Walnutport Kmarts will be announced "This WEEK"? Because, if so, "THIS WEEK" ends at 11:59 PM, on January 18. I'm pretty sure, that when we get THERE, both stores will not have yet been announced. Friendly Wager, to Charity of your choice?

I don't believe this. DM's wouldn't even Know about it until it is officially announced. This is more sensationalist nonsense. When you have proof, then post this. I'll believe it when I see it. I never post a closing until I have a link to back it up.

That DM might not care about being terminated.

They are going to be terminated anyway down the road. At least they are honest compared to Fast Eddie.

DMs share confidential things all the time.....they simply deny it if they are confronted about it and upper mgt believes them

That cannot be true, how a district manager who looks over Pennsylvania would say something confidential like that? That would be enough grounds for his termination of employment.
