That's the Cr-p attitude of the corporate employee or mgmt , and they are mostly from the retail channel. On Black Friday we had " visits" from corporate employees they just stood around talked with each other, they did not try to help an understaffed store" at the Big Log location. That's with 90 mins wait times. What a lousy culture! Some of them we.ve worked with in retail before and not even a hello? The feeling is mutual! The contempt of front line employees by corporate people is out in the open by their actions during the visit, Just keep the visits to a minimum or give them training on how to act with "lower echelon"present pr just keep them in Headquarters on Black Friday, because Solution Specialists are just" Entry level employees"

@12h9imdO-2alv: That’s a lot of words just to lick the corporate boot painstakingly slow.

Okay, so why did that ship sail? Who benefitted from it? It isn’t the working class, educated people across multiple verticals.

Fact: Verizon has laid off tens of thousands of employees in the 4 years I’ve worked here. We used to pay out higher commissions and employ a larger workforce. The money is there, it’s just going into the wrong pocket.

So, why do you hate the working class? What makes you better?

Just in case anyone does not know, when they call in for CORE or customer service the reason they may not get proper support is due to an increase of vendor reps. These vendor reps have very little training, low pay, hostile work environments, and an EXTREMELY high turnover rate. They literally have no idea what they are doing. Therefore they make tons of mistakes and provide incorrect information. If you can not find their name in Gmail, in people search, or Jabber, they are not a Verizon employee.

The systems are crashing all the time because the best people in retail ops took the VSP or were laid off. Nothing but noobs and people who have no idea what they are doing now.

Let's put the 4k or 3 k or 2k away for a second I think we can all agreed this company has made it nearly impossible to do your job system crash all the time long wait times with core no one knows how promos work because their so dutiful to understand and so on yea we don't make as much money as before but why are they making it so hard to perform basic things .even if you took commissions away is so freaking hard to do the job base on how bad it is at a retail store not to mention almost impossible quotas

The way people talk on here is as if they are only paid commission . For anyone reading this that doesn’t know these sales reps are paid hourly + commission. The “hourly” part is above industry standard for an entry level customer service position. A Solutions Specialist is just that....an entry level job. You get paid to help people with brown boxes and billing questions etc and also have the ability to make commission but that is secondary. I get the fact that for years Verizon made it very easy to make 4K commission checks but that ship has sailed . 100% Facts.

I can only imagine the sales that we lost due to them shutting off our phones in store for the day.

Let me say that Black Friday was a Disaster at the Big Log location ,people with fedex boxes waiting 75 mins with no instructions in the box on what to do, then coming to us to call the IVR number 8778074646 to activate there phone , blaming use for phone content transfer, Corporate people " visiting the Location" with there c-ap attitudes and wouldn't think of helping out because they re above that , What a lousy culture, thanks for the cold pizza for a 13 hour day helping your customers.what did that cost you 50 bucks.

When was the last time a cell phone shop was busy on Black Friday? Never.

We were busy, but what does it matter if nobody is even at their at-risk yet? It’s absolutely disgusting what Verizon is doing. Organize.

Our stores were busy but the POS system failures and core hold times were out of control. Also OSTs that did not have clear or information that was needed. Promos that were too complex and unclear advertising. The Thanksgiving TV advertisements talked about Disney plus and 5G with a quick mention of the promotions. One hand has not clue what the other is doing

@12h9imdO-qao since when has the new line required promos stopped you from selling to a customer. I disconnect lines all day because a customer added a new line to take advantage of a promo. Hell y'all even tell customers they have to add new lines for tablets and watches even though those promos don't require the lines to be new. I drove by 4 different Verizon stores yesterday and each one the parking lot was full.

We had over a 2hr wait all day, 10 waiting to get it at open and didn't get last customers out until after 10, our store did over 100 new alone!

They didn’t think it through. The promotions were only for new customers but still were not that great. They lost a lot of business on this day. I had a ton of people walk and were disappointed that there wasn’t any iPhone deals for upgrading....
