Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Geophysicists and Earth Scientists Layoffs

Are the geophysicists and earth scientists safe or are they at risk as well? I am relatively new to the company and am not American.

Geophysicists and Earth Scientists - the rock doctors of oil and gas, but never take their work for granite.

I'm here all week, people.

OP, are you a troll or someone who thinks that creating a new thread is the only way to communicate? I answered your question in a previous thread a few postings ago. Let me copy my answer to you AGAIN...

In my humble opinion, nobody is safe. We received official news a few days ago from a Chevron spokesman that Chevron will be making cuts in our Downstream business unit. This BU is our cash cow right now, yet there will be more than a few layoffs taking place this week. So, I reiterate - nobody is safe.
