Absolutely. Never turn down a kind gesture, whether that be a free lunch, golf outing, fishing trip, etc. One of the secrets to success is knowing when and how to accept a tribute, since it is given to you as a gesture of appreciation. You don't want to insult the giver or upset your employer. So accept the tribute and never tell your employer or your coworkers. They may inadvertently spill the beans or burn you one day. I've been accepting tributes for over 20 years. The best one was a few years ago when I was given a 15-day all expense paid vacation to Sydney, Australia for me and my wife. First class airfare, 5-star hotel and the best charter fishing trip ever.

Also, as the white Kenyan, I prefer dark chocolate in between my buns before and after my marathon training. It gives me some incentive. My boyfriend gives me the BIG reward at the end of each workout for me, Then I give him my big beautiful tight physically fit END for him to savor.

Grow up guys and gals. I read this site in the past to see if there was some helpful information about the reorganization. Reading this and the others about GOM SCM are disappointing. If you have this much animosity for people you work with and or the community you live, perhaps you should consider a change. Judging by the comments these are people within the group, if you have a problem with someone, tell them and get it on the table. Don't hide behind the keyboard and take shots at folks, yeah you GCHater.

For the last 4 years, my calendar has been blocked for lunch every Tuesday. It's currently blocked out until November this year for lunch on Tuesday. I usually have a choice between 3 vendors who fight to take me out to lunch. I get to pick where we eat, they pay the tab each time. When they invoice me, I approve it with a customary15% markup. This is one of several perks I enjoy at Chevron.
Wow, That really keeps me awake at night. The fact that vendors and salespersons take clients out and to golf and things of that nature. In the O&G business. In Pharmaceuticals. In Medical. In Engineering. In Construction. In every Industry known to man. I just sit and lie awake like a piece of dead wood ready to be cut from the tree with the fear of getting cut before any vendor ever takes me to lunch because I am such a loser.
