GOM professional and knowledgeable? Them stupid a$$es I've worked with on the red crew on 900 and other places. Them idiots wouldn't make a good yard ornament. Let alone a good operator. The most inept and excuses full bunch I've ever seen.
To dick weed, aka 1eiz, you indirectly admitted you are not in the know. Listen to @1iin, who does.
@Gpt3AMY-1iin Do you live under a rock? If you are so in the know how is it you messed the memo??????
@ 1iin - no you don't. I'm not certain what you call the "initial deal", but the sale of the original tier 2/3 properties to Cox will take place. The deal was pushed back and negotiations continued due to the issues encountered along the way. I can only speculate at this time that Cox and Chevron came to terms on those issues because there is a closing date is schedule for April.... on the original properties by the original potential buyers.
I have my facts straight, @1xvs. Chevron blew its wad with the Cox deal. They walked away from the sale. Now, if you happen to know there was another deal made with them, say that. But the initial intent by Cox to acquire the Chevton GOM assets if off the table. I smell smoke and I think it's a fire sale. Pennies on the Dollar as usual because of improper planning. Also, our negotiators are terrible at getting full price for anything we sell. Add these useless people to the layoff rolls.
@1ixf - Get your facts straight. The sale is on and will close in the next 30 days.
@Gpt3AMY-1wpl, homesick you poor baby? Stay home. I don't like the flakes in Cal. So what. I'm not gonna say that it's a bad place to live. Just not my idea of fair when you have a bunch of liberal sponges who don't want to carry their share of the load and just want to mooch off the government and blame everything on the big bad corporations. Most of these flakes have never put in a hard days' work in their entire life they have no grounds to complain about ANYTHING involving work- LOL!
@Gpt3AMY-kwa: When you say, "I enjoyed my trips to LA." You obviously never lived there. GOM is not a great place to live and work. If you are from LA, the GOM is a great place to work. If you are from another part of the country, then the area truly sucks!!!
@Gpt3AMY-1jox, You mean take over the low-maintenance cash-cow? I suppose whoever the lucky bidder is !!!!!!
Just in time for the ESP layoffs! Who will be left to shut the GOM down?
@1dlm, there's no more Cox sale or deal. Chevron blew its wad on that one. What's next? The GOM assets will ultimately be sold to someone, but at fire sale prices. Goodbye GOM and good riddance to the inept managers who lasted too long.
Poor @Gpt3AMY-1buy is Butthurt Deadwood. Everyone in GOMBU has eaten his lunch with pay, promotions, benefits and bonuses while he gets to suck hind tit with sour milk. He deserves the right to voice his abnormal opinion about the greatest and most profitable BU in the history of Chevron/Gulf/Texaco/Unocal/Getty and Tenneco. It's a shame that you kids have to live among the little entitled millenial whiney-babies who just got out of diapers and don't have a clue about the oil patch.
I'm getting ready to go back into mine!!!!! LOL !
What will GC do then?
Can't you turkeys follow the thread? Read subject and respond to that if you will. Don't just blab incoherent thoughts that just pop up in your little heads. Really.....
There's no no need to kiss ass, folks. This site gives you the anonymity to tell the truth. GOM for the most part is run by a--holes. Very soon this Business Unit will be no more. Good riddance.
I enjoyed my time in the GOM and owe much of my success to it. I found the people to be extremely helpful, hospitable, knowledgeable and most importantly I learned the ropes while working the GOM.
Yes, all of the people that I worked with in GOMBU were always extremely professional, polite, courteous, and respectful. Could it be that the naysayers are more of the resentful type who prefer the jerk-off lazy type environments where you can candy crush all day? That definitely isn't GOMBU. If they send you there, you have to work. That may have disappointed some of the jerk-offs, I suppose.
The GOM people I dealt with when I was at Chevron were great to work with. I don't understand why there are so many negative comments about them. I enjoyed my trips to LA.
@Gpt3AMY-cwn OH you poor wittle whiney BAYBAY!!!!! Did someone get a better job with better pay than you in the business unit that has been Chevron's cash cow for so many years, the one that got the second highest bonuses this year? You poor BAYBAY!!! We all feel so bad you, you poor little butthurt thang you! We hope that after you are cut like the piece of useless deadwood that you are maybe you won't burn up too quickly on the first fire that they throw you on sweetie!! Keep your head up my little pitiful piece of deadwood!
One can only assume by the vitriolic BS you spew, you've lost your job or are skirting unemployment. You're the one people quietly talk about with the narcissistic behavior and mentality that no one likes to work with or be around. Your attitude must really be appealing to those that have to tolerate you. The people of South LA have done a lot of good for Chevron through the years and just like every company they have some bad weeds.
Don't worry. GOM and many of the asses who contributed to bad decisions are are on way out.
NOW, the bigoted cunts of GOM will be cut like the deadwood they are. Close the North Park office and get the repulsive people of South East LA out of this company forever.
