Was looking at investor presentations....those numbers....questionable

Drilled and complete? WTF? There are no more vertical-only wells in the Permian Basin. Nearly every operator is using directional drilling and tracking. There are very few dry holes in the Permian Basin today. There is enough 3D seismic imagery to see the traps and layers of shale oil. The price of oil will eventually be back, but it could be 10 years from now.

@H3DPssJ-3wpz, You are assuming that those people are employed by Chevron.

This is a public website on the internet, genius.

@H3DPssJ-2vqk the title of this thread should have been :How much does it cost Chevron to keep imbeciles like you and @H3DPssJ-1vxg employed?

I think that the Butthurt Bobs and Deadwood Dudes have adopted this thread for their own. That is them having a circle jerk in the posts below, as you can read yourself. I just wish they would go off into the sunset and make cyber-love to each other and leave this site for real layoff related discussions, like it is intended for.

@H3DPssJ-2img, You sound like the mental midget who attacks every post with the term "deadwood" in it and assumes it's the same poster.

You were called "deadwood" because the op is talking about Permian and chevon has said they are only drilling vertical wells there

I wonder what the path looks like if Permian doenst get costs to what is being reported in investor reports. I can say that those costs reoported are not even close to what we are currently paying.

Doubt we would nojv everything, too much on the table. We didn't nojv gorgon, deep water projects, or other high reserve assets ...doenst make sense

Probably much more expensive then their competitors. Time will tell if chevron can cut it in the Permian or will they NOJV all their rigs to an outfit that can keep costs down with less overhead.

On the bright side, they do have a new office building in Midland. People will move there now to keep their jobs but the moment oil price recovers who wants to move to Midland? Chevron should have consolidated all major domestic locations to Houston with small field offices where chevron operates.

When I do cost estimates which include drilling and completion, I always take into account the depth and whether or not they are horizontal or vertical or both, etc. Does that make me Deadwood too? Or can I not use those terms because some douche-bag on this site might get offended since he is an overly PC typical Chevron indoctrinated droid. You guys need to lighten up a bit. Take it easy.

@H3DPssJ-nju: Every single thread opened here, you have to come and post a repetitive BS comment with your overused words. Think for a second: at this time, you don't have any valid point anymore. Just making an assout of yourself (and yes, we can tell it is the same idiot - namely, you - who puts these posts here). Do yourself a favor and get a life.

Permian duh, who cares about anywhere else. Figures in this pdf say $7 mill

If you have to ask vertical or horizontal you are dead wood.

The cost to drill and complete wells? Can you refine your question?

Are we talking vertical or horizontal? What's the TMD? Lateral length? Frac stages? Coop or NOJV?

It's obvious from the types of posters who have been trolling this site that a lot of cutting still needs to be done, if these retards are even Chevron personnel at all.

Trick question. Chevron never completes any projects. They have meetings, sing kumbaya and recycle safety moments. Oops, it's time for a 30-30 and a micro-pause.
