Was offered VSP, didnt take it and now Just got a 1:1 request with manager for tmrw morning. He said to bring laptop. Nothing good can come from this. Esp since manager is supposed to be on vacation.

So, any estimate on how many people impacted from design, SD, val teams?
No matter what the queen will protect her spineless staff, I am sure none of them will be impacted.

@3fbm - I've heard as much. Do we know which teams affected? FM only or other VPG sites as well?
Emails to managers that had people being curb went out. Managers have started having 1:1s with those being cut. The people being cut have a month or two (I heard different dates) to find a position outside their group or be let go with some sort of severance package
So, what's the update from VPG? Any e-mails or all hands meetings sent out? Or was this all BS?

VPG could really use some cleaning - cutting even 20% there.
What are the updates after meeting? isp? Redeployment?
Of course this is not a performance based isp like the one in april. This is an efficiency based isp.

OP I say you're lying and just trying to have fun here! In both cases you're not needed at Intel.
There is no "bring your laptop" thingy and no walkouts any longer. Efficiency cuts are allowed until end of July to be able to pursue jobs in other groups. This is not a performance ISP.

@sle - It is waaaayyyy too late. You might get an ISP with a similar pkg if your group gets cut due to efficiency, projects, etc.

SD means structural design. Actually it means backend flow like STA and physical design. Nobody in industry recognize SD. Everywhere it is called physical design.
