Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

62 days and counting and still no ISP severance, ESPP refund or Cobra $9K payments yet!

Called HR multiple times, never get he same answer twice but in general told ' check (direct deposit) is in the mail' then nothing. Same for pension money. I was told it would roll to Fidelity by 6/23/16. Fidelity now investing what's up there. Truly sad and no way to do business. Anyone else seeing the same?

I received vacation, holiday and 6 week WARN, but wondering of the taxation?. For all combined, they took out ~44% (43.7%). Is this the expectation (above 40%) just like winning lottery??

HR told me they process the payments just like regular paychecks on the 15th and end of the month. I am in AZ and received my SPP with my 6-week WARN payment on May 31. I expect to receive the rest by June 30th. If I don't, I will be looking for it July 15th. Regarding your pension, call Fidelity's pension direct number at 1-800-557-1900. They know more about your pension options than Intel HR. Call the number listed on Fidelity's website for the retirement accounts information.

#nsn - OP here. Seems like I'm not the clueless one but you obviously are. Clearly you didn't read the post title since it referred to ISP, NOT ERP which has a different timeline. I did read and understand the material with all needed steps taken including filing pension request paperwork with Fidelity confirmation including lump sum estimate 6w ago. Intel benefits noted money would be moved by 6/23/16.

Severance paperwork emailed 5/26/16 with Read receipt confirmed with payment to be 1] pay cycles (4w) later, past the hay now. Inconsistent Intel paperwork with 3 different term dates In different places too. Intel 30 day hold to rollover 401K & retirement plans is separate and later than pension $$. Told by Intel also noted Cobra money to be paid 2-3w after signed agreement received. Signed up for Cobra on Hewitt site weeks ago as well, which many don't even know they have know to do yet.

There should be no need for patience but rather a reasonable expectation for the commitments made to be honored. Good luck and keep drinking the cool aid, you're gonna need it!

#lgu - good one, LOL

Remember in the BUM Bk said it would likely get screwed up...

He already admits it was screwed up, just like his larger recovery strategy, LOL

The question is, when is your last "pay date" at Intel? In 2015 they paid out a few days after that.

@lgu- They are waiting for someone to buy McAfee in order to do payouts.

None of us have received the COBRA money yet, my guess is it's too early. I do know COBRA takes awhile as there's really no rush to get it in my opinion. For me it'll be years and years before I'll totally spend down the SERMA ($24K for 16 yrs) so I'm not at all worried that it hasn't been given to me day 1. You too should have some patience in regards to that.

As for your pension money... it doesn't sound like you know what you're talking about. I contacted Fidelity back in May, told them my last day would be 6/24, and asked them what the EARLIEST date would be that I can request the lump sum. I was told 8/1 as they'd need some time to process. It isn't 8/1 yet. Heck, it's not even July for that matter. Also, did you actually REQUEST the pension to be rolled over as a lump sum? You'd have received a quote in the mail as to how much the lump sum and annuity would be. THEN you tell them (again) what you want done with it. THEN it will be NO EARLIER than 8/1 as I stated above. If you haven't done any of the steps I've outlined then it probably can't be any earlier than 9/1 (although they might be able to make 8/1 since that's a month out.)

Lastly, if HR told you your pension will automatically roll into Fidelity... they are wrong. Nothing is automatic with your pension as you have several options to choose from.

It's not Intel that's conducting business in a "sad" way.... it's people like you that fail to read the material that was given to you, and understand exactly what YOU need to do, and when you need to do it. You fail to do that and then you blame Intel for YOUR lack of understanding how things work? Unreal. Glad I'm not one of the clueless ones. lol

maybe Intel is out of funding for the severance payouts and needs to find places to lay off more people in order to fund the packages..

same deal, all I got was my final pay, vac/sick, and 6 weeks of the 8 week WARN pay out. Did not get my held money for ESPP yet either. Sent my signed paperwork on 5/26 via email, fax, and USPS. Still haven,t got the 9k COBRA money either.
