Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

We need to talk to Chuck and Bored

Today we hear the facts that our big team will be LR because the Sr. executive managers want to cut cost because they think service providers don't like our platforms. I think this is a big lie from our supervisor who is to lazy to explain the truth or defend what we do so he can save his own neck and just provide heads to chop.

I know if we could get invited to speak with Chuck, his manager team and the bored of directors, we could convince them that they are making a big mistake to kill our products. We only need 30 minutes to show business case and implementation model executed by competemt engineers and technical staffs to be successful and NOT despotic incompetent supervisors who cower to field.

Who likes my idea? Perhap we can save some LR.

@IUEYfqP-ety: Yup and so do the Chinese and rest of the South and South East Asians. To be fair, why blame just Indians.

Google this: "indian cheating on exams", then click on images. You will loads of Indians cheating on their final exams, many being assisted by their older siblings or paid senior university students. What do you expect from people who cheated on their exams.

With all due respect, we could probably get to a 15K LR number if Chuck mandated that all Cisco employees had to compile and submit a business plan summary consisting of three paragraphs and forward them to Chuck's Executive stable.

The caveat; it must be in English, must be coherent and contain less than 5 typos and grammatical errors.

The author may be trying to make a point here. Chuck's board of directors maybe really bored by now with the number of re-orgs in the company!!

Seriously questionable writing skills. "Bored of directors"? That shows the holes in Cisco hiring process. Hiring the folks who cannot even write one paragraph with proper sentences. No wonder Cisco is down the drain.

The list has already been submitted. VPs and above have earmuffs on for the next few weeks until the smoke clears.

"bored" of directors? Please give me a break... After going through the posts here, I am wondering how come so many Cisco folks cannot spell and/or write grammatically correct text. Aren't we supposed to be smart?

SPs don't like our small cell so ya probably that. SPs don't like our cloud strategy because it's vendor lock-in so there's that. I could go on a rant on the sp cloud but I won't. Hoping for the package so I can take my wares to a startup and do the same thing without the politics.

Mate, if Cisco were to close all "past tech" layoffs and divestitures would impact at least 30k people.

Waste of time. If you think the product is valuable and Cisco closes it, then do a start-up, you'll make a bundle than staying in Cisco and go through this each year. I am afraid it's past tech and that's why Cisco cuts it...
