Will AMD engage in a destructive price war and crater Intel's margins?
Time will tell!
They've done it before and they could do it again.

KBL is already BK'd
"Intel has billions and some great hard working engineers..."
For how long? Management seems more interested in securing their lifeboat while they let the the ship sink. Round after round of liquidation. How long before the brain drain begins to delay products? Or has that already begun to manifest itself....
If I had a dollar for every "time will tell" post from an idiot...
gulftown was the last good one, I'd buy a gulftown from AMD
Someone sure peed in @ncp's cheerios. Does reality hurt your feelings? Need a trophy for trolling on the internet?
Zen benches have been leaked for weeks. It's at best an 8 core SB, as was said.
Sandy bridge performance is pretty good even today. That's why no one is upgrading LMAO!
The difference will be in the GPU. If that is materially better, they could have something there.
Gone are the days of AMD competitiveness, at least their CEO has some education but as smart as she is she has no resources. Intel has billions and some great hard working engineers but sadly management for the most part is a bunch of arrogant yes man with no ability to argue anything different to the king from San Jose State with no clothes, BK'd
@zni: Where is ARM with regards to IOTG? 8080 time frame?
You are an idiot (plain one), but you already know that (for sure), don't you? Now, bug off, you little rotten weasel.
Time Will Tell
We'll see, from the leaks so far it sounds like it's on-par with Sandy Bridge. If that's the case then it's simply not competitive and there's not much to worry about. It appears to be geared towards people who think that "more cores is always faster" which simply isn't the case since you have to run all the cores more slowly to fit 8 cores into a viable power envelope. But good news for AMD, there are a LOT of people with that simplistic mindset out there.
