Current BB on MLOA??

Anyone on leave? For how long and how is it going? Any harassment from management?

Glad it helped you @ggs. :) I hope more read it and feel the same way as you. It's not healthy for people to channel so much negative energy AT themselves. To me, that's even worse than the stress endured while working at Intel.

I do get that it takes time to move on mentally, I really do, but the sooner people can do that, the better off they'll be. I read in another post here where someone reminded people that we have a lot of healthcare offered to us. Part of that is EAP (Employee Assistance Program). Anyone having a hard time moving on should give that a try. Here's his/her full post: https://www.thelayoff.com/t/Jn595wl

Good luck, all. Stay safe and above all, stay healthy.

I know of two people who committed suicide after the 2015 Stealth Layoffs. You won't find their obits on Circuit though! I hope there weren't others. It's not worth it to let Intel take up residence in your head and drive you crazy. Get help asap.

The sad thing about your comment "Took 4 week FMLOA for surgery late '15. Got 1st SL4 ever. Intel noting it's just a coincidence, make your own judgment there." @ggs... is that's how a LOT of people got on the list and it was NOT a coincidence since they simply ran the numbers and let the computer spit out the list of SL4/5's. using that cr4ppy criteria.

Here's what really bothers me about it... when it became clear to them that they made a mistake and a bunch of SL4/5's got that for exactly the reason you mention* (not there for the full year due to MLOA/sabbatical, etc.)... they didn't even take back the 'not eligible for rehire part!!!!!!!!* AND, to make matters worse, they did the SAME THING this year!!! I do NOT understand the ineligible for rehire part. That's a head-scratcher to me and it's cruel.

That's really messing with people's minds IMHO. It unjustly upset and depressed people. I sure hope like h3ll no one has, or will commit suicide over that, but there's a bunch of that stuff going on as it is with Intel employees (spousal abuse ratchets up during layoffs as well).

Sad, sad situation going on with that company. My advice to anyone with any anger towards them to stop and realize they are NOT worth your anger. It's only hurting YOU, they could give a sht about you. Best to move on and channel any negative energy into positive energy or you're only hurting yourself and your loved ones. I know, it's easier said than done but while we cant change things out of our control, we can at least control the way we feel and deal with crp like that.

Took 4 week FMLOA for surgery late '15. Got 1st SL4 ever in over 10 yrs of good/exceeding reviews in Feb'16. Out the door ISP'd end of April '16. Intel noting it's just a coincidence, make your own judgment there.

They can't terminate you while on MLOA but they can once you return. Happened to a close colleague of mine in the earlier 2015 Stealth Layoffs. I also know of one who returned from MLOA just ahead of ACT and found himself ISPd after 26 years at Intel. On the flipside, I personally have had incompetent colleagues go from one MLOA to another to avoid performance-based termination. Depends how well you know how to play the game and if your doctors will cooperate.
