Intel Appoints Former EBay CFO Bob Swan as New Finance Chief

So, it looks like this is positioning Stacy for taking over the TMG half of the company in a potential split?

This is plain disgusting. How many employees could have been spared from layoff with the cumulative $48million this guy and Murthy are costing? 400? 500? Andy Grove would be rolling in his grave.

@JtAwtN6-ctc You got it right a split with BK and his new minions getting multi tens of millions and getting rich. While intel stock is propped up for a bit longer with the smoke and mirrors but it will come crashing down, but not before they all make hundreds of millions from stock, another 20-30K get laid off with ACT2 and ACT3, corporate america at its best. Oh what a place since Andy left...

@jyr - Intel makes logic, it just doesn't use it.

Well, IMHO ebay has been, and is pretty F-ed up, so.... need say more? lol

What I find disturbing/frustrating/etc. .... is they are getting rid of a lot of valuable experience, yet paying out HUGE packages to outsiders. Don't get me wrong... I'm not saying outsiders are a bad thing. I'm just trying to wrap my head around the logic here. Are these newbies worth more than experienced workers? Are they really going to bring the value to turn this company around if they've lost (booted) a lot of their experienced workers?

This is absoluetely offensive to every current Intel employee and especially those laid off during ACT:

Nice $23m package for Mr. Swan. That should set the message boards aflame.

awesome, Intel employees can now buy and sell shares through eBay! and pay for them via PayPal! All for a combined fee of 12%.

Sadly, Intel must now dump TMG, the money pig, after declaring it does not figure in its four business growth strategy. Both IBM and Motorola turned this trick and were better companies after. Need to get rid of the waste and streamline. Buy products from TSMC, if it improves overall business. These models have been proven effective in the past.

Finally Intel is going to open an Auction biz as well. Let other companies bit on TMG starting from $0.99,

others, BUY IT NOW $10, free shipping. BK? (-)$100 Million, then I will take only $100M and throw him away maybe in a toilet.
