Is anybody inside Intel hearing anything about our integration?
The vibe here in Alameda is turning into a strange funk. We are hearing about a potential RIF around or just after Christmas.

We are hurting here, though. No doubt about that. It's like we are going through a cycle of social Darwinism and cannibalism at the same time.

If there are layoffs, I'm pretty sure it's because Wind River failed to execute.
That company has been having some serious productivity and morale problems for some time. They are so busy bickering internally, they can't get anything done.

I'm hearing January. Jim from WRS was called about it about a week ago or so. Likely, he's working with managers & VPs to finalize a list before Christmas so they can take off over the holidays. That's probably where the Christmas time frame came in. I don't see Chinese or Canadian based offices being impacted greatly. Likely the brunt will take place in Alameda, with that office being shut down once a buyer for the property is found and a deal struck.
RIF around Christmas would not surprise me.
