Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Vendor issues

Vendor relations at this point have to be pathetic. Consumer cellular no longer advertises Sears as a vendor on TV... how low must a company go for a prepaid phone service to drop them from their advertisements? also take into account they continue to show target as a retailer.

The point of this whole thing is something as simple as consumer cellular which only sold their phones at Sears and Target as far as B&M is no longer even telling its customers that they sell their product at Sears. Look at that decision as a business owner. You sell your product at only two places but you are only going to tell your customers about one of them... where do you think Sears stands if a vendor in this situation doesn't even consider them their retailer anymore.

SHC was beginning to not be a good partner to vendors before I left! That is why I left / I did not want to be associated with a company that treats their partners so poorly!!!!

" awkward time to be losing something like consumer cellular "

Consumer Cellular is not exactly a stellar business in itself

Funny.....just a typo. This whole site which was intended to be a forum for all associates is getting a little out of control.

@tfk - I agree, only "nerd" vendors would sell goods to Sears! Savvy vendors are selling their goods to equally savvy retailers.

It is not nearly as dire as many posters are making it out to be here. The media likes to stir the pot to get reactions. That is what they do. Just like when they make the weather out to be worse than it is. That is how they get their ratings.

Vendors nerd to sell goods.

Why would any vendor continue to ship unless they were being prepaid?

Honestly it wouldn't be that big of a stretch. Of course, they don't know for sure but it's somewhat of n awkward time to be losing something like consumer cellular.

How does one jump from Consumer Cellular not showing Sears to not paying bills?

Suppliers aren't being paid and Sears has huge debts owed to them, which they have finally figured out they won't be collecting.

Their own fault for facilitating Sears.
