This store is close to my apartment and even though they're probably a high volume store compared to many, it didn't exactly look stocked up and expecting to stay open much longer. I didn't have many points to redeem, but wanted to cash out. It took way too long to get those points figured out at the registers. Almost like the employees knew their days are numbered and are keeping the points from being used.
It's sad to see, but there's so many retailers going down the tubes now.

Yes, the store probably does have less inventory than in the past but look at the size of it too. I would imagine that store has been open for quite a while, and it is probably too big at this point. But it was always a very good store, so don't worry about your points. Anyone's days could be "numbered" anywhere....nothing is definite anymore. That is unfortunate but true in today's world. You could work at a company without any struggles and be laid off just as easily.
I think the key thing to take away from all of this is that honestly we all should be more respectful of one another. It is amazing to me some of the news out there right now. How can anyone sleep at night when not knowing whether he or she as a news person has really reported on the truth or just on "sensational" news. Why cause worry for anyone who is just trying to work hard and make money for his/her family?
If you don't work for sears, you're not going to pay as much attention to the bad news about it. How many details do you know about JC Penney, Macy's & Whole Foods having troubles?
