WFR in low cost region - malaysia

jobs are off-shored to low cost region, yet low-cost region also going to have major cut-off ?

is may15 is the cut -off deadline 2nd quaters?

how many % of total workforce will ask to leave ? 7% ? 50% ?

is there any compensation ? service years + 4 months severance package ?

did anyone hear from your manager, you are it the vss list ?

There is target of approx 25% by July. This is done by introducing AI and automation. No one is spared across L5 - L8. The best thing is there is no voluntary separation. Only who they want to select. Quite sadistic really.

I heard all managers had to send up a list of 2 or more names from their teams in April. I agree - I think May is when the WFR's will be announced.

But this has been happening every quarter for the past 4 or 5 years - why is anyone surprised?

Develop your skills and keep a positive attitude, and if you get another offer - give it serious consideration even if you have not been given the chop.

The practice of American Capitalism does not reward loyalty, and is pretty thin on good faith. It rewards planning and talent - so difficult as it seems, you need to take control of your own future.
