Epyc pain incoming and more ACTs

http://semiaccurate.com/2017/05/17/amd-calls-naples-epyc-analyst-day/

Competion has come in the last walled garden. You can debate how much volume, and the benchmarks, but in the end AMD will price it to move and FB, Amazon, Google and MS will put the squeeze on Intel at the table. Margins will come under squire right as low yield and high RD come into view... ouch ouch, can't wait for BKs next ACT

Epyc Pain: Here is a short quote from the article for those too busy to read it:

A single Naples beats it in every stat so AMD put two of them up against the AMD part. For reference a single Epyc ties or beats two Intel parts in every stat as well. And sure enough on the same Linux kernel compile test, AMD still beat the Intel pair 33.7s to 37.2s.

Intel's terrible Executive decisions have launched Intel well down the road to ruin. When Intel starts to lose control of the Server chip monopoly, the world will see true panic at Intel. And with senior executives and BK in charge, things are going to get ugly.

@olg, if you're the dominent player in a shrinking market then there's not much room for investment to recover your position if you start to lose it. But to AMD client cpu's are a huge growth market - their growth coming at our expense. So they have far more room to invest for future profits. See the problem?

Great. There will be nothing else to do to save the company except cut heads. They've failed to increase revenues and decrease costs in all aspects of their business. Coming down to lopping off heads to save face.
