People close to 10nm and smart know what is but inevitable collateral end result of 10nm to Intel.
It won't be record output and stock growth, it will be total implosion of TMG. Who Can at this point believ silly extrapolated ramp prediction of 10 are simply not credible as you look at how 14nm did. Anyone who believes those silly TMG lies is in denial and toostupid and weak to ask the presentor of the unethical fools that put the lies behind them into the forecasts that is ruining this once great company.

Something big has to happen on July 27. Either layoffs, split announcement or something else. I don't think additional "stealth layoffs" will be enough by themselves. You can't just shrug off a 5%+ PC market share loss and who knows how much in servers. And this is just the beginning.

Layoffs are the only thing Intel has become more efficient at. Rest assured that if an ACT 2.0 is indeed planned for 7/27 then it'll be executed with ruthless dispatch.
If there is no ACT on 7/27, then the thousand below the radar cuts strategy will continue. The big question is what happens afterward -- chapter 11, asset selloffs, a split into two companies, extinction ? At some point the downward spiral stemming from "x86-only disease" needs to be stopped or else.
Even the layoff schedule is slipped at intel.

People are scared as 10nm broken, server announcement largely ignore, x86 soft. Billions wasted on fantasy growth.
Executives dumping the stock. If tims were good the stock ripe for a pop with 10nm and new products. 2017 is going to be a huge year for Samsung, TSMC, Micron and every other chip manufacturer. Yet intel the biggest is being passed by.
Competition everywhere and intel executives and execution failing. Big layoffs to the pop the stock is the last desperate measure... poor employees but enriched management!
