DXC is not requiring WFR employees to sign a waiver. This was standard for HPE WFR. Anyone have any insight on this? For me lack of this signed waiver postponed my ability to collect unemployment. Thanks DXC!

To @NyOc40Q-6seg, sorry to hear you going thru the hassle. Did you not receive email from your manager on the day of notice (or shortly) thereafter? That's good as evidence.
Yes, you need to be persistent with DXC HR or so called employee relationship line if you did not print a copy of the WFR notice related docs before leaving. Yes, it's a mess how they handled the WFR.. it's expected that DXC is created as an interim entity until they "dump" it to another buyer ... consider yourself lucky to be out of that abusive relationship!!
in my case the state unemployment commission can't get in contact with the company to confirm layoff and severance. and it seems that they indicate my income was reported as coming from EDS.
I requested a Employment Data Report through The Work Number site. That reported my employer as HPE since November 2009 and EDS before that.
quite a mess. I am thinking possibly intentions to avoid unemployment claimants from collecting. incompetence at the worst. just an opinion. should be more straight forward.
The no signed waiver is intentionally designed to alleviate potential lawsuits. Aka- "if DXC did not make you sign anything then DXC does not have to be in conpliance". For example, the OWBPA, which is part of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act ("ADEA"), requires employers to follow a strict timeline to get a valid release of any age discrimination To sum it up, all of these WFRs process was designed to completely putting workers at a disadvantage. Yes, unethical at its best.. not surprise
No, it should not delay unemployment. File them as soon as possible.
Just my opinion, but... The waivers were pure bribery. "Promise you won't sue, or forget your severance". I signed last year because the money was significant. This year, the money's not enough to bribe people with so why bother? Didn't think about the unemployment factor though....good point. Mine wasn't delayed because I signed a waiver. Even unemployment recognized those waivers for what they were. If you sign, it's not severaance. Good luck..
