For the people who still have a job, they are exhaling a sign of relief. This time it's not just sales reps, sales consultants, dev, & support but also managers. How long until the next round of cuts?

Oracle has laid off more than it has hired for SaaS Cloud positions in the last 12 months. I wonder if MH still consider us to be "New Tech"?
OT is guying down. Reps that survived are having their territories cut and quotas increased. On-Prem goes from 80 cents to 75 cents on the dollar. Rumor is the cloud multiplier of 2x will shrink to 1.75 or 1.5x. Going to be much harder to make your number.
OD was doing small to middle size deals. Now they want them to handle larger deals. The writing is on the wall. You need to update your resumes and start looking before the next round of cuts. If you're older and expensive, you aren't strategic to Oracle any longer.
Over 50% of my group gone.
You should use "Sun Microsystems"
Oracle will be cutting the free coffee and soda next. You must buy your own caffeine moochers.
MH doesn't care about the customer. He cares about his bank acct. Overall most of the cloud sr leadership doesn't care about the customer. that's top down management. they are a bunch of groupies at that level plotting and scheming on how to make more money and yet the customers and the talent are squeezed.
if we have no layoffs, how come that we have 100s of views on each post just a few minutes after a post shows up - also, anything that's here for a day or two will have at least 1000 views - this tells me that there is a lot of anxiety here @ oracle
@mou - all kinds of people on this site, on FB and other sites. MH gave an interview to CNBC where he specifically said that people should not listen to what folks on layoffs.com and El Reg are saying - he noted: there will be no layoffs. If that's the case, how come that I've got laid off today together with other 4 people in my group.
I was recently asked in an interview after explaining the Oracle Pubic Cloud, what Cloud platform our SaaS offerings were running on, Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS. - believe it
No you won't - Oracle is not so cool on the resume right now - how do I know , I took it off and replaced with Independent Contractor and the other Azure and Amazon skills is why I "now" am getting great success with work offers.
The Oracle name on your resume could be a scarlet letter. Oracle is not that respected with MH at the helm.
Stay positive. You have Oracle name on your resume. You will find another and better job in a blink of an eye.
Just wanna note that this site is full of trolls, the kind who mock anyone that drops tips about upcoming layoffs. They call others trolls, who actually leak valuable info, when its they themselves who are the trolls.
yep, u all need ur backup plans - don't be stoopid like me and not have the backup plan.... what a glorious day
