It's hard to call SS a charlatan - moving execs around to gain different skillsets has been an Intel practice for years. And I remember an Open Forum with SS at the time of the pre-BK CEO search and someone asked SS if he was going for the position (accompanied by the cheers of the crowd). His answer was one of humble bemusement, stating he didn't think he was qualified, and opining that FInance@Intel still needed him. Even then, that's when we all knew we were scr*wed.

Obviously SS has chosen the appropriate time to retire so no blood on his hands when future company restructuring, possible sell off, layoffs come into play. People will have forgotten his name when the sledgehammer falls. Lol!

SS compensation is huge, to walk away at his age is crazy, he knows what is brewing on the horizon next year and wants no part of it! Smart he is!

Smith is a charlatan... he was never qualified to do anything other than finance roles... Nevertheless, he is certainly smart and probably a good guy. The people in San Jose know that no one at this level simply leaves like this unless there is big trouble on the horizon... Things are getting interesting with Intel.

Intel will be broken up. That is why SS is out. Skeletons will start falling out soon.

Question is: did he leave voluntarily, or was he asked to leave? He was being groomed as the next CEO but then fatso comes along...

Stacy leaving is no surprise, look at where company is, what irons are in the fire, what the silly new initiatives are, what the prospective market are, and lastly who is leading, who has left and who is likely staying.

So the questions is are you staying?

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Wow. SS knows that 10nm will be Intel's Waterloo, so he wisely pushes the button to deploy his golden parachute, before being blamed for the debacle that is and will be 10nm. Stacy is smart. Be like Stacy.

Looks like he is a smarter than being the SET guy, get the phuck out before 10nm brings the downfall of the company. The bean counter did the math and realized the way 10nm is going it will bankrupt the company
