The CEO position needs to be advertised on the Chevron careers website and resume's from outside sources should be taken. We all had to apply for our jobs, when we sat in them. Time for Chevron to follow their own policy they put in place for the layoff. Each board member and psg 27 and above need to apply for their positions. What do they think someone better might come in and take their job? The board and all upper management approved this process, so now you need to walk it to.

All of the kool-aid drinking chevroids, team leads, supervisors and managers who have kept their jobs because of shameless butt kissing, to compensate for poor performance, should be worried. Toss in every single friends and family employee who still has a job. Of course, these same people who had no problem back stabbing fellow employees will be the first ones to completely kiss up and pledge total allegiance to the new management, and turn on each other in a heartbeat. Just like the political creatures that they all are, they will align themselves in whatever direction the corporate winds are blowing.

ETC and PRC needs to pack and be sent home. They charge an arm and leg, stir the pot and go back home. If they were so great why was gorgon and wheatstone an epic failure. These people make more than people within the business unit. Dismantle put them in the best ones in the business unit and run with it. We need 2 companies to help us run our crap.

Chevron needs to go on the outside for a top notch CEO, so he can come in and clean house. Someone needs to come and cull the whole bunch of them. Mike Wirth go home, stay at home and don't come back. Your are just like JW, nothing will change...... We need the trickle down effect immediately.

No, we shouldn't be worrying that Watson is retired (got fired). We should be rejoicing that he will gone very soon. Good riddance.

All of the non-productive, butt s---ing, back stabbing, PC diversity hires, friends and family, and girly man managers should be worried. He'll, that is half of the Chevron payroll.

-voj, you told the truth there. ETC and especially PRC have a lot of failures to account for. Hopefully the ne CEO will hold these managers and project managers to account for their failures.

Who should be worried that Watson was fired? All his so-called advisors, friends, svckups and incompetent underlings. Collectively, they should be the first to go. Then follow through with a general housecleaning starting at PSG 30 before working their way down to PSG 29, 28, 27, and so on until reaching the lowest paid people in each Business Unit. Clean house thoroughly of all slackers, brown nosers, incompetents and complainers. Drop all the political correctness, affirmative action quotas and the the social engineering BS. After all that is done, only then can Chevron become the "most admired".

Everyone, because the first thing any new guy will do is work with the current CEO to do a dramatic kill so he (she?) will start with a fresh plate.

It's too early to tell yet. It's all dependent on who takes over the CEO position. I'm hopeful the ouster of JW means the Board of Directors and Chevron's largest shareholders are decisive on that the fundamental management style must drastically change. I hope that many of the current leadership are also thrown out.
