You can now go for only $999. When have you seen it that cheap? There must not be as much excitement around Oracle technology these days.

But didn't he contradict himself on CNBC and say that was Fake News? Next up he will blame all sides for the layoffs.
@lii - MH CAN predict future. Cuts, Cuts, and More Cuts!
MH predicting the future..... now that's comedy worth paying for.
I attened last year and it was pretty good - granted, the excitement that you could feel back in 2006 was not there but hey, it was still awesome.
Florida: Where old people go to die
OOW: Where old tech goes to die
Who cares about OOW? People go to AWS re-invent convention instead.

Why do you want to pay a company that much money so they can market all their warez to you and have MH sit behind a desk and predict the future?
Attendance dropped significantly last year. It's why they moved the appreciation event to AT&T Park and also why many of us rank and file employees actually got hotels in the city. I can imagine the situation is getting worse.
OOW many years ago used to be a blast. Now it's a geriatric convention where by 10pm, everything is dead and people are in bed. It's definitely not the frat party that new college hires would enjoy.
With oracle going remote with sales calls from newbies rather than in-person visits from field sales reps, OOW seems very anachronistic- there goes another revenue stream down the toilet. That's the 'new' oracle for you. LOL! Plus going to Oow is such a waste of time, and just plain unpleasant.
You beat me to it, just saw it in my FB feed. Smells like desperation. Expect to see free passes for expo/keynote again soon.
