Verizon is quietly hiring over 800 non union techs to take over when contract is up. The school in VA has them training at night. The hotels in the area are full. Good bye union.

@3crn ,,, depends if they are working in a right-to-work state. In Virginia they can be non-union if they choose, that is their right and privilege.
The OP says techs are non union but one of the replies says they're union, which is it?
If these techs are union how is hiring them a plan for getting rid of the union?
The most uninformed post. Someone just looking to stir the pot. Not for strike assignment either. You are likely one that does not pay attention to what the company is deploying. Quit your job so that a better able body can actually perform your work since all you can do is post dumb stuff OP.
Leesburg training center. This is old news! Annndd no need for a hotel there are a boat load of rooms at that place.
@ebx - Don't get to technical. You only have to remember GREEN and PINK.
The phone goes: GREEN - GREEN
Then you PINK it up and say: Hello this is Bob. How can I help you today? How is the family?
@ebx .... don't forget the sleeve lead. :)
@ebx Please refer to the Word doc for the most correct design of the circuit!
Start lining up those restrictions, folks! I suspect that by March people will start getting their training assignments. At least this time there are plenty of new Oath bodies that can be thrown at EWA, but based on the number of familiar faces during the last strike I guess that once an EWA, always an EWA.
They are union techs.
I applied to over 15 jobs for vz temp and full time and in different states ... guess they don't hire former wireless employees :(
Not a totally ridiculous post . They are hiring temps for 3 years . Are they the future of verizon ? Probably . Do I personally give a sh-- ? Nope . A lot of us are on the way out at the end of this contract or one more contract . Union sold everyone out many years ago , just a waiting game now .
This is a ridiculous post.
