I think you're mistaken @PvAS4w9-1jlh. There are definitely hirings going on in the Northeast in the landline division. I have seen the ads and know of some of those hired, both foremen and linemen.

I see plenty of hiring too. Just not at Verizon. I think all the talented employees are gone at this point and just retards are left like the OP.
Thank you @ayr, that’s very considerate. We’re not really like elves - we live under bridges and spend our days snatching children that pass overhead. Sometimes we put on a really loose fitting shirt over our fat bellies, cake ourselves in make up, and present “Up To Speed” videos.

I do not see this occurring at all either, though I keep hearing it complained about. What I do see are foremen and forewomen being hired, and I see ads for linemen and linewomen. We seem to be in a hiring cycle, as far as I can tell.
