I heard it was rough!
Seems like it would have been better to do an overnighter for the 2 day ordeal or did they do during day to get more people to help?
Is the handwritten signs readable since some people have scribble for penmanship?

The blowout is no blowout at all. Most items are 20-30% higher than they are the rest of the year!! It’s a setup and customers will fall for it.
It's all about that short-term cash flow. Just like selling off the real estate and desirable subsidiaries, it's a last-ditch effort to stay afloat a little longer - most of the current merchandise, once sold at whatever price, won't be restocked again. They need the cash to pay the remaining vendors still willing to ship to them.
How do you make a profit from a clearance "blowout" sale ? No, it's liquidation.
At least one major media outlet is running a story this morning about how desperate this sale appears. This, the Whirlpool news, the Wall Street Journal article, and if true a huge new list of closings is going to spook vendors even more.
Nah, its more enjoyable watching on the sidelines.
@hzr isn’t that the truth!! They haven’t moved on
Maybe they should hire back in so they get fresh gossip on the spot
It's like the people who leave but want to show up snooping around asking questions. Get a life.
I'm sure that whatever profit the store made from these sales won't really matter.
@lyv - Why the anger? These types of sales made it harder for me as well; a whole lot of pain for extremely little gain. That is not how successful businesses operate. Since your store enjoyed stellar sales and profits as the result of your hard work, my apologies!
Horrible man took so long to do them and they didn't even explain it well enough. Honestly I just hope they stay as long as it says and not change their mind next week.
@-ery F@ck You! I bust my A** and these dumb sales just make it harder
@hqj - Thanks for your feedback Pinocchio!
For what its worth it worked too well. We were swamped all day.
Signs look good.
No not really my business, but you obviously are in a happier place so why bother? I don't get it? But as you said absolutely none of my business.
I meant former employee.
Former employer and like to read about the misery I left.....if its any of your business.
Funny...you obviously don't work for Sears. Why even bother being on this site then?
Handwritten signs? What a dump.
