I just saw a commercial ironically for Kmart about the sale.
I thought Sears FLS were running the blowout sale also or is it just Kmart?
The crazy thing is the closest Kmart is an hour from where I live and the closest Sears FLS is 20min.

Well, good thing I actually received a postcard from Sears in the mail otherwise I would not have known the exclusions in my department! That's just ridiculous
A really stupid thing I noticed about the sale (Kmart side) was how it excludes anything ending in .98 and .00. OK, some exclusions are understandable, but when I went to make signs for the thing, there were signs for certain categories of apparel for which literally ALL the merchandise was .00. Even worse is that the merchandise will actually come up as on sale in the RMUs and presumably the price checkers, but not once some customer gets it to the checkouts and we end up with a slowdown in that line.
I did hear one lady comment "This isn't a blowout." lol It's absurd that some of the prices are higher than the previous sales we've had...
@tmr we had 3 people working tools, 3 registers, 3 lines 6-7 people deep all day. The joke is everything was much cheaper last week.
OMG!! Our store is madness. People think they are really getting good deals. By 4pm we already had 64 credits.
Oh they'll drop the prices more...when they are shutting down the stores that is.
Blowout... really??? When products are on blowout pricing, they are still more expensive than comparable items at Walmart. I say, give us all a real sale, where there isn't 40 percent margin on stuff that is 40 percent off!! Drop the prices, like Kohls and JCPENNEY does.
edit: **Spent my shift Wednesday...
Sears too. Spent my shift Monday hand writing the darn signs for much of the upstairs. >.> But will this let us sign people get a break tomorrow?? NOPE. Still in early for a long shift. FML.
Our store is at least busy enough today that customers wouldn't leave me alone for too long while I try to deal with being the only person handling the second floor while also trying to get some freight done since we just had a truck show up with even more kids stuff than we have room for.
You slap 40% off any sort of sh-- and the files will come to the pile.
In my store name brand products are only 10% off the crap is 40% off
our store is super busy
Packed? I wish we could post photos. Our store is still empty.
I just an advertisement for Kmart not Sears.
Why is that crazy? It’s TV it’s not a newspaper, I can see channels 100 miles away, omg.... and they have a website.
Both stores are doin blowouts and both are packed, surprisingly
