Has anyone heard anything about claims? Had a grocery associate “joking” saying I would be joining her team soon. Just wondering if that might be a heads up.

I agree, I don't know what club you work at, but our poor claims girl works her butt off. She goes in every Monday to a total mess. Returns are just piled up waiting for her to deal with. I don't think claims will be going anywhere soon.

Claims has enough work for two full timers!!!
I have heard claims is going to be cut also. This is not a full time job they do not have enough work for one full time person let alone a part timer also. They sit in the back on their phones, read the old magazine when someone comes to there areas they act like they are so busy every one else pulls the returns al they have to do is process it
I have a contact at home office that has given me the following information: The final phase of the layoffs will be rolled out in Jan but not go into effect until after Feb. Membership manager and lead will officially go away. A new grocery manager position will be posted. Jewelry lead, invoice clerk, receiving leads will all be eliminated. Claims will be the only full-time position in the backroom left on day shift other than part time only. PTC will also be eliminated, drug test going away, background checks are done thru email, each mgr will be responsible for hiring and training their own associates and managing their time adjustments, schedules, exceptions etc.. APMs will take on new roles with a name change of experience protection still being debated. Merch ops positions eliminated in lower tier clubs.
They are messing with you, of all the backroom offices and such claims has never even been a rumor.
How would grocery know anything about restructuring? If management doesn't know until the day it happens what makes you think grocery would?
