I am senior engineer 8 yes exp in Qualcomm bay area ..
currently evaluating offer 130k + 12% bonus , no RSU , in software engineer 3 at Cisco systems , bay area .
How is CISCO vs qualcomm ? Benefits ? Growth .?
Should I stay back and ask for raise here ?
Currently 125k + bonus +rsu -140k.

Senior engineer!! My brother-in-law works at Lam Research as a production manager and gets over $150K a year plus stock options and they give him stocks as bonus's. I say keep looking unless you are desperate for a job.
Is it senior engineer position? How much is RSU ? May i know how many yrs of exp do you have ?
Not sure about Qcom's future, but I would definitely say you'll work on cooler stuff in Qcom than Cisco. From what I've heard, Cisco is like a government job. Will you be working on anything different than what you are right now?
I got 140K base 15% stock bonus in San Diego.

The people here are mostly the one who were impacted or laid off previously from qcom. Beware of those negative word. You will find equally same word when you visit cisco layoffs.
Look at the factors in real world. Cisco business is somewhat out dated whereas qcom is relatively new. It has good growth future. All company goes up and down but you need to see the right value.

Cisco was considered as dead a few years ago. I guess it's now ok company.
I'm damn sure Qualcomm has bigger future than Cisco for sure.
QC is done, if you want to die with the company stay but if you want to continue growing go somewhere else!
