Just received the heart felt letter regarding our layoffs. I looked up his credentials. Mostly all marketing.Prob hasn't touched a patient in 17 years. I know the PT business and this guy is the reason for all these changes. Money money money. I hope this crap back fired on his a--. To all my fellow HCM RNs, PHCs, HCM-SS... I wish you all the best. I hope I'm in the next round.

I have to echo what a prior poster said in this thread. I am really surprised that my coworkers have such a mean spirited, hurtful and cruel side to them, so e of the comments on here are so disrespectful, perhaps it’s good you’re leaving healthcare, I would hate to have you take care of one of my loved ones and you get pissed off at something....
Why is it whenever anyone takes a stand against the constant bashing they must be upper management. Sorry to disappoint you but I am just a HCM-RN like many of you! I seriously doubt KA even bothers with this site. You loom so ignorant when you say that! You can choose to see the negative in everything, if that works for you, great! I choose to be optimistic this time around. All of you whiny sniveling people who are just so greedy and plan to ride it out until you get severance...how dumb are you! There is no guarantee you will find a new job before your severance runs out. P!us it's twice as hard to find a job when you don't have a job. I suggest you start looking now and save a position here for those of us who want to be here! i am shocked to know that i work with such mean spirited, self centered people. Up until now, as nurses we were pretty much spared. Yes some newbies were cut last round but not many. Where was your self righteous indignation when the PHCs and CHEs were being decimated? Where was your fake compassion then?
6yof, very inappropriate to make a reference to "stuttering". That was mean spirited. I have a member who stutters and my heart aches for him. I agree that his answer was unbelievable though. He had to have heard about this press release. It is hard to trust him now.

Hysterical how he was st st stuttering today. And to say he hasn't seen anything regarding the lawsuit involving Kindred? Released this am? Liar. It was released yesterday. I can't wait for the next layoff. Praying I'm on that list. So sorry for all my colleagues
OP. I see a hole in your reasoning. He has been here less than 6 months, Layoffs have been happening 14 months. This is not his call. Humana At Home was pushed into taking too many members who didn't want/need care management, that crashed the ROI and that ruined the program. Telephonic Care management by unlicensed staff can and does work and this can be seen in other companies. Humana decided to stop investing in this program for now. I am sure they will come back to it in the future but more cautiously.
I need a shot so... It's not PT Guys fault, You are not forced to work here. I think that's worth a double. :)

The OP is quite obviously a moron! KA's employment history is predominately in a leadership role. The last 6 years as President of a couple different companies. There have been zero marketing jobs. Also his first name really begins with an L, but he goes by his middle name. His license is still valid. Before you talk out of your butt, get your facts straight!

How the hell do you know if he is licensed or not? Not too long ago all this was MFs fault now it's the new guy. You just need a scapegoat to pin a purely business decision on. Degree, certifation and license are three different things. If he has a PT degree, or a masters is health administration, or whatever, he can use all of those initials with his name...and he was hired for the three year transition to kindred and home health, we were told these layoffs started a year ago. He wasn’t here. But, he is now, so he had to say something. I agree, give him a chance

Coaches of impacted employees were on the call to as support. Just because a coach was on the call doesn't mean they were impacted.
I'm with you Karma, I don't know what the deal is with coaches and com's you could figure it out if they were at the meeting they're GONE.

I'm just about done with the 7 digit salary people telling me they are sorry to let me go. As a single parent that lives paycheck to paycheck I have to struggle to find a way to keep my home now. And I'm so glad to hear about the bonuses they are giving themselves, next year, for the tax cuts they got this year. NOT!
