I do know for a fact they tried to save the PHC role. It was the goal to keep the program, however, analytics proved it was not an effective program. It was not in the original plans to eliminate it. It was not an easy decision and they tried to avoid it!

I loved my job as a PHC... over 1 year ago we were told no more layoffs... but they continued. We were told the focus would be more community focus less telephone. So they would greatly reduce the PHC role.... but there would still be a need for some. So I plugged away, worked hard and prayed I had whatever they were looking for and would make it till the end and be "one of the few". Just when I thought I might have made it...... the entire program closed. I understand business. I understand changes in management. I understand "legally" having to manage things consistently. I understand this is just a job, it really isn't personal........ but it does "feel" that way.... doesn't it?.

Here are some of the take aways from the town hall if you could not attend. No plans for further reductions but no guarantees. HAH is integral to members. We will own 40% of Kindred home health division if buyout goes through. 250 to 300 RNS RIFD. 10 hour shifts, part-time and job share...they need to start a focus group. Concerns are how work will be distributed and what the members needs are. An engaged work force is #1 priority. What else is new on that one! There is good news for our SS as they will have a definite role in the future. Remote monitoring and telehealth are in the future of HAH.

At this point you only want to see the negative because the last leader screwed us over. You can't judge everyone based on our last leader. They could very well choose to not answer our questions much !like MF did. Yet they answered nearly every question. I see a big change already. They are humans and I doubt they are I intentionally lying just to get as much work out of us as possible. They are not evil peop!e sole bent on screwing us over!

Does anyone really think they are going to say “yes indeedy we sure do plan more layoffs, several more as a matter of fact so you guys go ahead and get those resumes out and don’t bother working hard because it won’t matter because you’ll all be gone soon enough”? No. They’re going to say exactly what they think we want to hear. They need us to work as hard as we all do to take care of the members and make the company look good. If they would have said yes to more layoffs planned, how many of us would work at the level we have been? I know some who had to have scraped by by the skin of their teeth and will know they will be gone with the next round so if Mr PT or whoever had admitted there would be more layoffs coming up, I’d b willing to bet plenty of folks would go ahead and leave. Do they want that-yes- but do they want that before we get the work done in a timely fashion-no. The more there are the faster it will go and then it will be on to whatever else they (Mr PT) have up their sleeve. Remember these are business people. These are not caretakers and they do not make the big bucks to give a hoot about the lower levels. They make the big bucks to make the decisions that try to keep the company afloat and succeed and to keep the big bucks rolling in to the shareholders and the even higher ups than them. My impression was that none of them are genuine whatsoever- or personable. Maybe they should try smiling- showing empathy- honestly caring. Anyone want to take bets on the part time option or the 10 hour days? Don’t kid yourselves- they won’t do it. Humana higher ups- like all corporations- has their own agenda and their own ideas of what they think is best. Not even sure what the point of that town hall was because I got nothing out of it. Trying to placate the little people. I am interested to know what you found encouraging?

I for one was not told no more RIFs in November. My COM and Coach both said prepare. Executive leadership also did not say no more layoffs then. You all must be miserable. Not worth being filled with anger and hate

So don't believe that this is last one people. Money and greed. You know their salaries are huge and bonuses.
