Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Assuming vs confirming

Everyone is assuming there will be layoffs next week, there were the regular town hall meetings last year, scheduled, and no layoffs before them, it was the unscheduled updating townhall meetings that came after the layoffs that were done. This is the regular 1st quarter town hall meeting! Can anyone confirm that there will be layoffs? If not, then, it’s an assumption

Just did two yesterday, so much easier and quicker than the roi process, while the CHEs mailed them, they didn’t always come back, the Che phi line is such an asset to members and us!

@RbJY207-2wcg What time of the day have you tried calling the recorded consent line?

The line is open 9 am-4:30 pm EST; every CHE has been trained and on it since October.

I have not been able to get through to speak with someone on the consent since November

Only HCCP members can currently do recorded consents. All PHCs and CMs within HCCP should know about the recorded consent line. FCMs are not able to utilize it at this time. It is a great service Humana offers. We do a warm transfer to the consent line and a CHE facilitates the recorded ROI for the member. It's a Godsend! My members have been known to add their spouse and kids all in one call.

Do the CMs or PHCs even know about or use the consent line?

Hcmss here...the only way to get things sent out is via the CHEs, and the consent line is a godsend...you all do such great support!

Crazy that you were told not to task CHEs. I think there are about 40 left. One HCCP team and one SNP team. You should be tasking them as much as possible! The only thing we don't task them for is healthwise. How many CMs have been told this? My team was not told this

CHEs are still doing tasks and you should not have been told to stop tasking them. The only thing you don't task them for is Healthwise articles. They still order all the OES resources, PAPs, ROIs, and any resources not found in Healthwise. That is a shame if you are not utilizing them! Whoever told you not to task was absolutely wrong! There are still 2 full teams. They also do the ROI consent line and will be doing IVR sign ups soon.

The PHC role would not be on the benefit plan, as that is not part of the benefits that everyone gets, it is a different program, not on the benefit plan, hccp is not a Medicare benefit

CM here

I have several questions/comments....

What role are the CHEs actively playing? We were under the impression they were all let go months ago and were told not to utilize them any longer.

What are the job duties of PHC ? I've noticed 2018 member policy benefits that would utilize them have been cut.

I really feel it is a waiting game for all of us. Stay calm & prepare. Be sensible and have a game plan. We may all be pleasantly surprised.

CHEs are down to 36.18 on each team. If they RIF all the PHCs and some nurses, they will only need a dozen CHEs. I wonder if they will RIF those on the Wellness pilot first since they won't be needed or keep them on as CHEs and RIF the regular CHEs. Hard to believe we started 2017 with 5 teams and now we will probably have 1 tiny team left.

Agreed. There’s some rude posters on any anonymous site, but most of us appreciate those of you who share.

We may not be the squeakiest wheels because we don’t jump down anyone’s throat or accuse anyone of lying, but we are here and appreciate all that share what they know!

Is the town hall meeting next week to inform us of changes? Will the layoffs happen before or after the meeting?

Seriously, this is your last post because one or two anonymous people question you? Really? We don't doubt there is a RIF coming, but you have to understand our hesitancy to believe everything when there are so many different versions of what is going to happen. Look back at some of the posts. We have been told everything from HAH is completely folding to its just PHCs in Live Healthy. What you are saying it sounds like HCM-RNs, PHCs, HCM-SS, Coaches and CHEs are all getting laid off. That's pretty massive and far more than Humana reported to the papers. PHCS and their coaches alone are close to 400. This layoff sounds huge!

Thank you poster below. When the last rounds happened I posted what I knew. The info was correct and others still attacked me for not sharing more. Can’t beat’em

You come on here and ask for answers and then when someone comes on who knows you tell them they are wrong. This is my last post. The coaches DO know what is going on, they just do not know yet how deep the cuts will go. They have a pretty good idea of who is going to be impacted. ALL areas of HAH will be impacted, some more than others. Everyone will learn the specifics in the next couple of weeks. That is all I can share!

It does not take inside information to see the pattern. All signs point to PHC role being eliminated. Think about it...Care plan training ceased with a weak explanation...Being encouraged to move members up with CBAs over 25000 and move the rest to monitored. I believe RNs still have a place in HAH. I believe CHEs and SSs and FCMs will still have a place as well as the RNs refer to them. I am a PHC and I think it's clear that our days are numbered. I have started looking elsewhere. Good luck to all!

I don’t think all coaches know, just the ones that may be impacted, not all cm coaches know what’s going on with PHC teams

What do you mean by "mid plan year", earlier poster? We are at the beginning of a new plan year, and HAH coaching has always been determined by CBA score, not a benefit. These members are not guaranteed care management services. It is based on eligibility.

So is it next week, or in February? One RIF, or two? PHCs first and then others, or all at once?

Coaches do not know until the day prior who will get cut. That is all they will know.

Hcmss or CHEs to be impacted?

Post ID: @zim+RbJY207

The RIF rumors are true, coaches do know, just are not sure how deep. All areas are going to be impacted, significantly HCMRNs, PHC’s and leadership roles. You will learn more in next few weeks, when all numbers are completed. I strongly encourage updating resumes.

So Live Healthy is just PHC’s? So only PHC’s will be let go next week (or Feb or whenever the real date hits)?

by

Right live healthy only consist of PHC’s

by
| | Reply
Post ID: @mhn+RbJY207

@pue... Live Healthy does NOT include RNs or SSs. Live Healthy members have PHCs for care management and, yes, they make referrals to RNs and SSs and CHEs but those disciplines are under the broad heading of HCCP. I fear the rumors are true that care coordination from PHCs is the most likely place to cut.

Live Healthy would include all PHCs, many CHEs, most HCMSSs, and many, many RNs. How would this be possible mid plan year? Isn't this an expected benefit for members already enrolled for 2018?

Why are we getting so many versions of what is going to happen? Makes you wonder if some people are just making info up to incite panic. Hard to know what version to believe! Is it just Live Healthy or is it ALL areas being impacted? Is it next week or in February? Are they shutting down all of HAH? Or just making us smaller. What is the truth? Does anyone really know any details?

If PHCs go then a huge portion of CHEs will be cut too, so no, not just PHCs. Another poster said all roles were being hit. So what is it?

Your coach knows what's going on. Here's the truth. Live Healthy is being elliminated. Studies showed no significant impact from the program. All those members will be moved to monitored status. This is going to be a significant layoff. Layoffs will be announced Wed or Th. of next week. Sorry to all those impacted.

@@RbJY207-otw, If you know something then tell us. You cant just tell us to wait and see! That's pretty cruel! Considering there are over 100 coaches, if you are one, they won't figure out who you are!
