A $1K bonus for 20+ years = $50 for every year that you worked = peanuts.

Associates at the stores are excited. At my store, this has been a topic of conversation all day in the break room and out in the store. Customers are even bringing it up to cashiers and in the aisles. I've been at my store 15 years and I'm sure as heck happy to get the $750. That's going to pay off my son's braces, and when you're a single Mom with a d---beat ex-husband, this $750 is looking good to me. Plus, we'll get our MY SHARE soon, too.

The tax cuts that they are getting is nothing compared to what they are giving us. We are only getting this because of there tax cuts.

I want to know if we are getting are 2% raise this year or not. No one seems to know the answer. Not GM or PTC or market managers. Does anyone know????

@eef; I hope you'll forgive us when we say that what you're saying is like Oliver Twist praising Mr. Bumble for ladling out a tiny extra portion of gruel while simultaneously turning hundreds of boys out into the street.

I don't buy that they want to give us anything that's a cost to the company, I've seen too much. Do you think they will cut people to part-time so they won't get health insurance to help pay for the bonus and wage increase? We hear all the time that part-timers cost so much less. Every time they do something "nice" and get in the news they come back around and do something to pay for it that hurts people and is a takeaway. Of course, they never let the media know about those things.

Let's see... $11 an hour at 40 hours a week at 52 weeks a year is $22,880. Still poverty wages. And that's if you get 40 hours a week which is as rare as a Bigfoot riding a unicorn sighting. Let's not heap praise on WM quite yet.

This is pretty good if you ask me. I work at a store and this bonus will help me out a lot. I don't care what the rest of you say - this is nice and I really appreciate it. If you can't be happy for us, then keep it to yourself.

"Tax Cut Bonus" my butt. This is being paid for by all those Sam's Club closures and layoffs. Kind of like how AT&T made a big fuss over bonuses and then cut several thousand jobs while trying to keep it under the radar.

That’s $0 IF they get the pay increase. If they don’t qualify for the raise to $11 then they do get a bonus.

This is in addition to, not in place of regular raises/my share bonuses.

It’s not perfect, but it’s more than we thought we had when we woke up this morning.
