In the northeast there are talks of Amazon taking over the warehouses. Apparently all associates in the building are having to reapply for their jobs they are told. Anyone else have connections to the warehouse associates?

None of you would last a day at Amazon, lol.
They expect you to pull 40 items an hour, boxed ready to go. You guys cry about putting up signs.
Amazon is interested in every warehouse we have.
Sams club is converting 12 of the stores they are closing into local Walmart distribution centers. Their online growth is very big, fast. Employees firm the closed store were invited to take those jobs if they would like hem

Innovel will be delivering and installing the Kenmore appliances that are being sold on amazon. Just like they do for Costco bjs and sams club. All personal must have a clean non criminal past. Especially those with direct contact with customers in their homes. So if you have a criminal record. Bye bye. Oh and we have been taking drug tests..

@Rg8eKu6-etz Might be more work in Amazon, but I bet better benefits and chance of advancement along with maybe an actual associate discount.
I think its possible Amazon would be interested in some properties to make them distributions, but you know they are going to remodel the whole thing maybe go as far as knocking the whole building just to make their own warehouses in modern age.
They make you reapply for your job so they can fire you for cause. Either a failed background check, failed drug test, or some other excuse. When they do that you are not eligible for unemployment.
Amazon builds its own distributions centers. They are high tech and automated. They are trying to go to no humans pulling merchandise.
Anything SHC has is at least 30-40 years past its prime so I doubt Amazon would buy anything SHC has. Now Innovel they might use or buy outright. But the problems with Innovel being outdated and behind the times are many and they may just want to start from scratch.

Part of Sears Holdings. If the day comes that Amazon buys Innovel so be it.. Stay or move on,,Other jobs out there.
I believe the more likely scenario is Kmart and Sears merging distribution centers. Amazon operates state of the art automated facilities they build from scratch. Don't see moon wanting any of SHLD distribution facilities
I'm outside of Boston and Amazon starts you here @ $13.25/hour with on call associates making $18.25/hour. Minimum wage is $11 in Mass. so most places pay that or a little above such as Target @ $11.50.
Sears & KMart start & stay at $11.00 so entry level would make more with Amazon immediately. More demanding work though.
