How much do you think Lowell will reward himself and his cronies?

@5uio I know you are right and don’t mean to complain - I need to keep it in the proper perspective. You kept me in check today and I needed that.

@5ogb, you show no appreciation, just complain.

We're only on this earth for a finite time.

Do not worry about any riches in the here and now,

for yours await you on another plane.

Your compensation comes later brother.

But hey - of the billions in tax savings, at least employees get 50 shares of Verizon stock. Wasn’t this known as VARS (long term incentive) a few years ago before that was cut? And they actually think they are “giving” us something out of the billions in tax savings? And that’s if you stick around 2 years to be vested. What’s that, like $100 a month for two years once vested!?!

This will not deter them from the direction they have already set in place. If departments have a set direction they will stay the course and downsize like they have already planned

Lowell will follow in Hans' footsteps as thats what Verizon does...followers. He'll be the death of what's left of Verizon...props to Ericsson firing his azz.

OK. So let me get this straight. McAdam stated that he wanted to cut 10 billion dollars in expenses, so he RIFFed/layed off all those people on Nov 16th. Now he gets a 17 billion dollar tax break which gives him 7 billion dollars more than he needs. At 162,000 employees worldwide that's over $43,000. each. Why does he keep closing wireless stores ? Why is he still trying to break the wireline unions? If the employees are our greatest asset, why does he treat us like we're a necessary evil? Nobody under director level will ever see a dime of that money. Too much greed at the top.

They will pour all that money into FIOS and the winning internet companies they bought.

Won't this fix the 10 billion that they're looking for? I know employee bonuses are most likely NOT going to happen, though it'd be nice.....can't wait for the bullsheeeeet that will be spewed during the webcast.
