Whether I get passed over or p*ssed on, I'm leaving. I can't take this BS any more. I know I'll probably have to move somewhere else with all the hassle that involves but it will be worth it.

I hope Amazon continues to come to this area for recruiting. If I was Amazon, I would be more than happy to eliminate Walmart's talent easy by making them my own. God Bless all of you, I know it is a toxic, sad, and frightened environment.
I was laid off last year. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. WM is truly toxic and it destroys your health.
@mzq if you are offered a lateral or greater position at the time of notification & you do not accept it you forfeit your ability to take a severance
I left a few years ago. I couldn't live with the fact that I could lose my job at any time. It was too much. I had gotten sick the previous year and no one bothered to check on me. The only time my boss text me was when she was asking me when i was coming back to work. I decided that i would start looking after I got back. It took me almost a full year but honestly it was the best decision i ever made. I still have family that works at Walmart and it makes me so nervous every time I hear about layoffs.
RUN!!!
I left last year because my area had been hit four times in two years. The grass really is greener, my friend. Take control of your future and go for it!
There is a rumor that if you are offered a position you will not be offered severance, you take the position or quit. Is this true? If so that is ridiculous, the ones that are being let go are getting the better end of the deal.
