The associate was probably in grocery back room or rounding up carts. A manager should have been the one to respond to that customer in the event of that situation.

Lol first off there was a call in. Second off the department manager gets off at 4. This happened around 6. And the kid did it as a joke. Just turned into a whole Walmart needs more customer service lol. I’m over it. Idk why people keep talking bout it. It’s not the first time.

They don't know anything because it's not a specialty service store. You pay extra for that, and part of that goes to better employee wages. Not so with Walmart. You're basically wanting your cake and eat it too.
For the particularly annoying customers, I used to always refer them to aisle 9. Whatever they were looking for, hahaha
I was shopping in Walmart last week, and heard 4 intercom calls blasted, of customers needing help in 4 different depts. Within a half hour. Wonder where the store mgr was? Likely in the backroom planning his next vacation w his bonus check. Reminded me why I rarely shop there, that and the fact that rarely do you find an associate who knows anything..
