Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Millenials

I thought millenial wanted work to be like play time where everyone wins. Why would anyone then design a job that is 180 degrees the opposite and expect them to come work there?

I’m not going to comment on the ‘Mellenial” topic, but Stare Farm is always a decade+ behind. Ideas don’t get to Bloomington very quickly. It’s like a really trendy restaurant. State Farm would adopt the concept 10 years after it started to wear out. This is the company that has agency. The company will go the way of Blockbuster. Too little too late now they can’t compete.

No such thing as a complex claim huh? Our location is becoming stewardship handling ONLY. No team managed at all. Our whole office will be complex auto/fire/underwriting, and we are DEFINITELY NOT a Hub.

seriously, there are very few so called complex claims

Sweet! Then we totally shouldn't even worry about those at all. I mean, the good news about having untrained staff is that they won't know any better. We can magically make all the complex claims just disappear via ignorance.

Man, I can't wait.

@STw1wYq-ion - spoken like someone who has never handled a total fire, or a water loss because the whole house froze up. Can't telephone handle those no matter what script you are reading from...

@STw1wYq-rxx - But, but, but getting patted on the head every five minutes and being told you are special is more important.

You might get to learn the systems while at the hubs, but you really don't learn complex claim issues, quality customer service, and more.

The hubs provide a good place to come for a short while, get experience and leave.
