Very few having it.
Anybody has retention letter as mentioned in the below comment? I am scared as I don't have it
How far is this news true ? If so when can we expect the announcement.Because it's already last week of September ??
If you are retained .check hr workways .below salary letter their is a new link "rentention letter". If it's not their then you are not retained !
Great, now I really regret majoring in IT in the USA.
A few employees from VDSi have been told to sign the bond for 2 years with retention bonus. heard the remaining Employees will be Laid OFF very soon.
Any News?
Is the deal signed by Infosys?
when will this be announced?
Not sure how far it works.... What about the vendors working over there...... Still VDSI recruiting the people..
Fake

More fake news I see. Told you, no outsource. Too expensive, business not happy with idea.
Need to wait and see
There are lot of projects in VDSi that are coded in outdated frameworks. And no company was willing to buy VDSi because of that. And there are Consultants getting 25LPA and Managers with 30LPA and SPM with 40LPA which no company can afford to retain. This is the reason for such a delay. Finally Infosys has accepted for the deal.
Today (Sept 10) the deal has been signed by Infosys itseems. Will get an official announcement soon.
So, question in my mind is that this is a maneuver to avoid continuation of existing rights and protections. Is this move intended to relieve existing IT of benefits and protections ?
Any update on this?
Somebody has written a biodata of vdsi and stated that ever since it was formed no innovation was being done, then it means whoever made the decision of vdsi was a fool and the same leaders (it doesnt matter whether its upper, middle or lower) still exist in the system. They were not visionaries then and they are not now. The make others bakras to save themselves. With the wealth of tech available at the disposal of IT, it should have turned around this company 5 years back. But every year the so called upper management in US get money and spend them on eye wash with no real value. VDSI top management dance and host them with gifts and food when they are in Vdsi. Blaming middle management has become a norm, because thats the easy route. As with any industry the top most has to be taken out for the plight of the company...its a shame they all are still around bullying employees as usual. They talk about tech which they dont implement. Top management should watch their step and mouth else somebody might lose their cool and whack them. Make the employees capable and change the existing systems before taking the employees out, today it has just become a number game and thats what the leqdership in IT is after.
Well, I'll miss having decent IT support. So much for job growth in America.
has this been finalized?
How will this affect Piscataway? VZW just spent a lot of money developing the office site.
Its not all infosys. Multiple vendors involved. The announcement will come before earnings call. The transition date will be much later. Vendors will be augmenting teams with their own offshore resources.
VDSI started as a support center for US Verizon IT. So there were not any innovation or valuable work done here right from the beginning except in few pockets. Most of the people stayed for 10+ years, since hike was constant and promotions were easy and became managers.
These incompetent managers who have zero knowledge of even basic IT now drive centers of excellence.
US top management is smart and have vision to change Verizon IT into innovation center. But middle management in VDSI which has developed a culture of complacency, really spoil the environment without adding any value to the company.
Managers spend most of their time 'scheming' whom to 'project' and how to 'project' rather than rewarding and recognizing outstanding work.
Open cronyism. 10+years of friendship with your manager is an important skill in VDSI which will enable you to thrive without doing anything.
No accountability. 'RIF' in December 2017 was done to send a message. But it was not properly done and still many useless people thrive. Because of these long timers, VDSI stares at a colossal failure.
Any updates on this? Which company is finalized and when is the announcement?
Well,
Nothing happened.
I do not doubt that something will happen by the end of the year,
Severance Bye Bye.
Vaca Bye Bye.
Caring about VZ from employees, bye bye.
Nice if about 60% quit on the same day.
This is true
Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, block chain , Python , AWS, what else ? Fancy names, fancy technologies with no use
Info sys to deliver most AGILE verison!
@2sgx Does it truly matter? They are on the other side of Basking Ridge, close to I78 and nowhere near One Verizon Way. They are in an office park. That isn't proof of anything.
I wonder how long they have been in Basking Ridge, NJ?

I am from VDSI and As per my experience with VDSI anything will be announced only before 2 or 3 weeks of any move. Everything happens in background. There is a chance of more attrition if more time is given between the company moves.
Management can stop rumors by telling what is exactly happening, but they dont want to do it.
@2ica my first post here. They cannot just switch everyone to Infy overnight, each of us would have to consent. That's a massive undertaking right there. Once, you consent each of us would have to be trained on Infy's processes, HR processes will have to be trained, internal/external reporting, structures, etc. There is no way this happens in 30 days.
Middle management is not a good place to be right now. Few of us are happy. We all miss the company from five years ago.
@2dzu - which era are you in?
Employees will continue to do exactly what they are doing on day T+1 with the exception of getting a paycheck from a new company and a new badge. Even the offer letter will be generic stating that your existing salary will be matched without listing a number. Everything else is handled during the transition period. I have been through this before at another place. This companies do this for a living and are very good at it.
Don't trust me ? Ask the existing mainframe teams that went to ibm.
Anyone in management with half a brain knows that nothing moves this quickly. There is plenty of legal work that goes with it, notification to employees with enough lead time, preparation of systems to handle the migration, the company taking on said employees need to prepare their applications and payroll services to take on such task, again employees have to be given enough notification. Hence your post is nonsense and I question your intelligence at this point or basically, YOU'RE A TROLL.
Planning to outsource IT has been going on for close to two years. I didn't think it was a huge secret.
So, yeah, it takes months to organize. They've had nearly two years to do it.
@1unf - Donnie is that you??
A rumor without a leg to stand on will get around some other way.
