Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Who else is apathetic towards whole kids and whole planet?

I’m a store support tl who loathes these donation drives. I hate forcing my team to ask EGET. I don’t look forward to twisting my STLs arm to let us buy some incentives to keep them going. Trying to come up with events is a joke considering nobody in my store has the time or labor. I hate that these drives make us as a company look as if we care about our local communities. I hate being told we should ask team members for donations as well when I know they don’t get paid enough to even buy lunch.

Because nothing says sense of urgency to customers who have been waiting in long lines due to not having the labor to schedule more cashiers than asking them for extra money after a long winded conversation about prime and/or them complaining about all that’s wrong in the store.

Our store has constant lines of grumpy people since introducing the prime app. Fundraising at a register is detrimental to the shopping experience. It's annoying and has no value for the shopper. I thought Amazon was going to change the focus to the shopping experience. I've seen people put their stuff down and walk out.

We are being told to touch base with the tms that are not hitting their daily donation goals. It's pretty uncomfortable considering I give zero f--ks about any of these stupid donation drives and I'm pretty sure no one else does either. Always fun to ask folks to donate after they've been in line for 5 minutes behind a bunch of id--ts who can't figure out how to get the Amazon app to work. Every day has been terrible since active asking started.

The production sheet I have to complete everyday and knowing the numbers on the clipboards doesn't give me time to care.

Its an overkill at this point. My tl doesnt even bother w it anymore. Bef he was so into it. Doing demos events prizes n all. Now its like watever. They need to just change it like other companies. Post a sign all yr long n if customers want to donate do it at pin pad when paying w card. Save time n energy.

I tell you what I'm not apathetic towards: a damn good sandwich. Sandwiches are underrated.

AGREED!! If there was only a team in the store that took care of other aspects of this c-ap... OH WAIT... they dumped Marketing, Demo, and GA....
